Fearing that health reform is getting closer to passage, the right-wing is escalating its rhetoric by issuing dire warnings of its consequences. Interviewed by the Washington Times, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) was asked if “government-run health care” will “end up killing more people than it saves?” Coburn responded, “Absolutely.”

Dukester, not commenting on this exactly but do you ever read a real newspaper? I get the Washington Post daily, look at the Baltimore Sun on-line and also receive the Annapolis Capital for it's coverage of MD issues. Just wondering.

Just saw a right-wing politician on the news who said the same thing. The truth is, they say this every time an overhaul of the health care industry is suggested. They are in the pockets of the lobbyists, terrified that they'll lose their campaign funding, and don't mind a little fear-mongering if that will satisfy their sugar-daddies. And it usually works on their base, who are uneducated and thus easily frightened. Never mind that it's absurd. They are the worst kind of Americans.

Wow..starting to get ridiculous lately.
We're all gonna die if the cap & trade isn't passed.
We're all gonna die if healthcare isn't passed.

What's the next high priority item on Obama's list that we're gonna die from if it doesn't get passed ?

Cry wolf enough times and you start not paying attention.
Kinda like "too big to fail"

Of course we're all gonna die. That's what you get when you have a president who pals around with terrorists. He will give you universal health care so that you will all universally die. You see, universal health care is a form of terrorism.

Not that I agree with that sort of rhetoric, but don't democrats claim people are dying under the current program, so we need to adopt the 0bama care program?

The rag of a paper that is owned by The Reverend Moon would be a good place to print right wing propaganda.
