All they talk about is how to pay for this bill. No one is talkin about what is in the bill. The bill should be killed. This is not what we need.

Canada and England want our health care system. Isn't any one listening?!

Most of the people in Canada are quite pleased with their system. Britian's system will improve now that the Labor party is restoring the funding removed by the Mad Hatter and her cheapskate minions.

Most people in Canada aren't pleased with their health care. That is why they come here for treatment. That is why even the person who came up with the socialized health care there now says they need to allow more private clinics to open. They want to be more like us. England is actually telling the U.S. not to go in this direction.

You have to wait 2 years in Canada to see a family practice doctor. You could wait months or years for life saving surgery. I don't think Americans realize just how good we have it here. All Americans do is complain. They want everything right now and they want it for free. Every one has a "right" to everything in this country. Right?

We have THE BEST health care system in the world. It has its flaws and it is expensive but it is the best. The reason we rank lower on some lists for health is because of our lifestyle not because of our insurance. Too bad we don't get a little "seista" in the middle of the day like they do in Europe. Too bad we don't get to have weeks and weeks of vacation like they do. As many Europeans have said-Americans work too hard.

The reason we are lower on the lists of infant deaths than other countries is because we count all baby deaths which included babies who died before birth. These other countries don't do that.

We need some changes in our system but we do not need a complete overhaul and we do not all need to go on welfare healthcare. But again in this country we cater to the minority. The majority of Americans are happy with their health care. That doesn't matter to some people. It only matters that a few don't have something so now we all have to be brought down.

The majority are not happy with the current system mainly because they cannot afford to be ripped off by for profit insurance companies. You mention Canada and England, but you do not mention the many other industrialized nations that are pleased with their government health care systems. These nations were ranked the top 10:
France
Italy
San Marino
Andorra
Malta
Singapore
Spain
Oman
Austria
Japan

Many people know that the United States ranked 37th out of 198 countries and that Canada ranked
30th.

Your point about lifestyle is well taken, but we have to start somewhere as the current system is broken.
