Record low high temperatures are forecast for southern Wisconsin on Friday as a very cool Canadian air mass covers the region. The high on Friday is only expected to be in the low 60s, which would be under the record coldest high temperature in Madison for July 17 of 67 degrees, set in 1900...

I actually heard someone say in response to why the weather is so cool if there is global warming-"Global warming causes global cooling".

Of course. The old "global warming" no longer applies. With "climate change", they can now put every extreme of weather under the umbrella - they're covered.

Nonsense topic. Whether you believe in global warming or not, you should understand the difference between long-term climate and daily weather.

You cannot take one weather forecast and talk about Global climatic changes no matter what side of the argument you are on.

Alsaka is having an abnormally hot summer with a worse then normal fire season:

For the record, the proper name is "climate change", and every science teacher and professor I've ever had has assured me it's real

No sh-It Climate change is real. the Earth has gone through several Ice ages and subsequent thaws.

The question is : is man enhancing or speeding up these changes?

Well, I guess we will just toss out the data problems with the actual science and just take your word of the word of someone else that it is true. I mean, that is how science works right?

Yeah, it sounds like an oxymoron, but if you actually take the time to study the science it's actually the truth....

Increased fresh water running into the oceans = desalinization, Desalinization = Disruption of Ocean Currents, Disruption of Ocean Currents = Some places getting cooler than normal temps....

This is definately a doomsday-type scenario and I'm not sure whether there's enough fresh water on the face of the Earth to actually do this, but the science is fairly logical. Especially when compared to "It's 65 degrees today. Last year on this date it was 75. Therefore, global warming is a sham.".

Exactly.... This is the question that needs to be asked, not whether climate-change is occuring...
