"The governors are concerned about unfunded mandates, another situation where the Federal government says you must do X and you must pay for it. Well if they want to reform health care, they should figure out what the rules are and how they are going to pay for it," Democratic Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer told FOX News.
"Instead what they are proposing is -- they're figuring out the rules and forcing the states to pay for it," he said.
“I think the governors would all agree that what we don’t want from the federal government is unfunded mandates,’’ said Governor Jim Douglas of Vermont, a Republican who is the group’s incoming chairman. “We can’t have the Congress impose requirements that we are forced to absorb beyond our capacity to do so.’’
I said once he has time to screw things up that other dems will run away from him as fast as they can.
Now even the Governors are saying his plan is not any good.
