I would guess it's higher than that - I'd say 99 out of a 100 cries racism.

Does anyone else see the irony in this whole Gates story?

Professor Gates and his driver are questioned for breaking into Gates's own Country Club home?

Professor Gates and his driver are complaining to the first black U.S. President about how bad it is for the black man in the U.S.?

So, because we have a black president and a professor racism must be gone?

I do not think this was racist arrest, and more of a pissing contest, but I still don't see your correlation?

So, if Hilary had won it would mean sexism is gone and all women would have to shut up about it?

Please provide the evidence supporting your claim and the evidence showing that its not racism? It's too easy to make up crap.

Most Black people clearly understand the issues facing them while some white people only think they know or they turn a blind eye. A blind eye as long as issue is not directly impacting their lives, but if the situation change, you start hearing terms like "reverse discrimination".

However, there are white people who have a great understanding of the issues and who maybe dealing with similar injustice.

People should research the topic (any topic) before voicing their limited understanding on the subject.

So it's safe to say that you don't see the irony....

This whole story is about bruised egos, not race.

I'm just glad Michael Jackson's doctor was black so I don't have to hear Sharpton, Farrakhan etc. make comments about some white guy (or jew) killing off a black icon.

<puke>

I wish the Harvard prof and cop were forced to hold hands throughout recess so we could move on here.

Default 911 caller contradicts officer's report

"Miss Whalen did not mention the race of the men she saw until pressed by a dispatcher to describe them. At that point, she said one of the men may have been Hispanic.
In Mr Crowley's report, he said he spoke to Miss Whalen at the scene and she reported seeing two black men on the porch."

Exactly. If the cop had been black the outcome probably would have been the same because Gates would have been saying "don't you know who the hell I am? I am a Harvard professor. I am a famous man. I am a very important person." - which is an attitude a lot of college professors, especially well-known and respected ones, have.

The cop probably would have been thinking "I don't care who you are, where you teach or who you know, I'm the one with the authority here and if you keep yelling at me I will arrest your ass."

That's just my take on it..the black cop could have walked up and said "Cousin!" and the whole situation would have been resolved over a glass of sweet tea.
