What? Who's son? WTF are you talking about? The cop job should've finished his job by getting in his car and driving away.

Whatcha really gotta love is how some always take the same side, regardless of the circumstances, wholly dependent upon ethnicity and nothing else.

Talk about a herd mentality, walking in lock-step and being incapable of independent thought or critical analysis!

Oops! Is that coming a little close to describing the recent outbursts of a resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? My bad!

One thing we can all agree about is that Obama lost at least one vote calling this police actions stupid.

Most Americans wouldn't know him. Of course, they will now.
That is not exactly something to be proud of...

Seems you still lack the facts as well. Try reading the police report. Oh...I forgot...the cops are all racist and the police report is just a bunch of lies.

Presented a Harvard ID, not a state ID showing his listed address. Cute argument, but you failed.

He did provide him with the badge and name, however Gates kept yelling over top of his voice, claiming racism. Cop wasn't a bully, he was doing his job. Never like the police because its a job that your fanny-pack wearin butt couldn't handle.

Where did I lack facts? Please explain.LOL...Gates DID provide his ID prior to being arrested. That's factual. I've never said the cops were racist. You're playing the race card. The cop was playing the EGO card and Gates was playing the @sshole card. 10 more yards and the cops in his car on to new business but that darn ego.

Maybe his listed address wouldn't have been the one in question. Gates possibly has multiple residences. I wouldn't be surprised if he did. He probably showed his Harvard ID so that the cop would realize oh he's a professor, trying to get into the place he leases from Harvard.

Why are so many people so quick to take the cops side? Cops make mistakes just like any other human.

The cop walked away from the situation, outside of the house. Gates continued to follow him outside and continued to tempt the officer trying to get him to explode. The cop kept his cool, gave him several warnings in front of police officers and citizens. The cop gave this man every chance to let it drop, yet Gates continued to pick at the cop. The idiot needed to be arrested. Quit the bantering and whining. Show the ID, understand the situation, and SHUT UP.
