The hosts of "Morning Joe" couldn't quite believe this, and they had some fun mocking FOX for it. The conversation did elicit the admission from NBC White House correspondent Savannah Guthrie that she actually is a pretty good dancer and thus will remain at her post at the White House instead of tuning into FOX tonight.

Morning Joe Mocks FOX Network For Skipping Obama's Press Conference Tonight (VIDEO)

Nothing like keeping your loyal rabid viewers in the dark, can you say dumbing down?

Foxnews will be airing it, just like last time, remember?

The Fox Network won't cover it - can you blame them?

In fact, they made an excellent business decision previously because no one really watched his presser and HC Town Hall filled with obama supporters. I remember you saying just about the same thing last time - turned out The Fox Network was right and they beat his media event in the ratings - hands down.

CBS, NBC ABC and all the cable stations will cover it.

Originally, NBC wasn't going to cover it because they lose tons of money and they have the top rated show for that time period.

Bambam then capitulated and groveled by changing the presser from 9 to 8:00 pm.

So you think that every single station should carry his media events to show deference, even when he really doesn't say anything?

You and others thought every media outlet should cover those sparse teabag BBQs..I think a supposed news outlet would cover the POTUS conference which will probably discuss healthcare. But that's not "news" to "foxnews".

Yeah, which of the HBO channels will carry the show? They may have some reruns of Maher but won't be carrying tonight's attempt at getting the major part of the Obama program passed.

Duke doesn't seem to understand that Fox News isn't the whole Fox group. It is ok for him to be that way, though, because he is so sure that HuffPo is the final word about things. Even HuffPo doesn't understand that Fox is much more than is pointed out by this.

Yep the people of FoxNews have been talking about starting 5 minutes before the Obama show which means they will start their special coverage 5 minutes before the other people do. If that isn't fair and balanced, what is it?

Isn't it fun to watch Duke operate out of HuffPo's foolishness?

In case you missed it, FoxNews will begin their special show of coverage of Obama's last ditch effort at 5 minutes before the hour which will put them on the trail sooner than any of the MSM channels. Poor old Tank has been taken in by Duke again.

Shrug.

Big woop. "Morning Joe" is part of MSNBC, which sees engaging in war with Fox as the way to achieve success.

They' re wrong --- and they're having their lunch eaten by Murdoch regularly.

"Fox declined outright to air the news conference. NBC and ABC fell into line late Monday after the White House shifted the event's time from the previously announced 9 p.m. to the lesser-watched hour of 8 p.m."

Looks like Fox wasn't the only network that was worried about declining ratings with the President on:

"The stakes were particularly high for NBC, which airs the most-watched show of the summer, "America's Got Talent," at 9 p.m. This week, the reality hit includes a heavily promoted interview with "Britain's Got Talent" singing sensation Susan Boyle."

Most will carry Obama press conference; time shifted after NBC balked--The Live Feed (http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/07/cbs-obama-news-conference.html - broken link)

Wow, so all those viewers of O'Reilly and Hannity won't be forced to eat sour grapes. Looks like the wealthy win again. Whatever happened to choice?

But wait, what was that about the networks changing the time so Americans could watch Sarah Boyle? Apparently this crisis is small enough to waste.
