What gets me is that people will pick one point of Ron Paul's platform and use that as an excuse not to vote for him and then they turn around and vote for another Republican or Democrat that doesn't care at all about the United States and our citizens, but only cares about big lobbys and special interest.
You can't blame people for picking and choosing whatever points they want to hear. I think it's Ron Paul's own fault for not trying hard enough to win the people. I'm sure he knows his own shortcoming, and if he really cares to win, he should go out there and do whatever he can to win. If he doesn't even bother to try hard enough to win, then he shouldn't run and disappoint his supporters again and again.
Personally, I think he does have many good ideas, but his stand on totally free market stops me cold.
besides cutting back the Bush tax cuts for the rich (which was given during a time of war, unheard of), taxing internet pronography and internet gambling. They tax the hell out of cigarettes and liquor, why not those? Can you imagine the revenues?
It was tax cuts for all taxpayers (not just the "rich").
Also, the "rich" actually paid more in taxes (by percent) after the tax cuts than before.

I didn't say we "needed" anything. I am saying that for you to belittle an air force flight surgeon, medical doctor who ran his own practice, and a man who has been in congress with a solid voting record is absurd. paul has presented his package. don't raise taxes, cut spending.
