Democrats have carte blanche and are screwing up much faster than expected. Before the end of the year they will be eating each other. Goodbye.

you can't let and industry loose and then put a cap on one or two aspects of it.. you'll run it in the ground and it will do EXACTLY what conservatives think UHC will do but are seriously mistaken...
If you want our healthcare system to fail... putting caps on a market segment that is a cartel already is only going to make the quality of care plummet..
The only way to fix healthcare is to create a nationalized system.. not all national systems in the world are the best example.. but quite a few are.. .
They work, they're wonderful, and I know this because I've used them...

Default Will Our Children Enjoy The Same America We Did

It would help if the Democrats would read there bill!!!! How is the next generation going to possibly pay for our irresponsible spending.

Not only should we think of our own needs, but we must consider what this is going to do to the future children, that are behind us and what this will do to there life in America.

Everyone has to stop thinking that this is all for FREE!!!!!

I think one problem with the Democrats is that there are so many different perspectives and ideologies within the party. The Republican party, with the exception of the 2 Maine Senators, is a far-right party. In the Democrats you have the rank and file corporate Democrats, the progressive Democrats and the blue dog Democrats. Pretty much everything from center right to far left is incorporated into the Democratic Party. For example, Mary Landrieu has more in common with probably more than half of all Republicans that she does with say Raul Grijalva or Dennis Kucinich. Take health care for example. You've got blue dogs that are against the public option and then you've got progressive Democrats that support single-payer and will vote against any bill without the public option. The Republicans on the other hand, are pretty much unified in keeping with the status quo and/or implementing some minor reforms that in no way would affect the private insurance companies or create any sort of public health care.

Never mind Dem/Rep. Vote against every emcumbent, every time, forever. That is the only way we can restore a government of the people. The lobbyists run our government.

This was the window and they missed it. But there are no excuses on this one because the Dems have a solid majority so they have no one to blame but themselves. Seems like that's always their story though. First it was the republicans that were holding them back, now it's something else.

I don't know why I even vote for Democrats anymore. They don't pass the policies that they ran their elections on and then raise my taxes to pay for policies I disagree with.

I should just support republicans because they may do many things I don't like, but they lower my taxes while they do it. Sometimes I think it would just be better to vote in GOP tards and let them borrow from China until they are blue in the face. At least with a republican I know what I am getting. I'm in the tax bracket that the Dems are targeting for big tax increases, so why would I support them and pay more taxes if they are going to table the very legislation that's most important to me? It's not like they have an excuse this time. They are just cowards.

Oh well, now the insurance execs will continue soaking the public with higher premiums and worse policy riders. They are safe now and they know it. Get ready for health insurance to get much, much worse. They know that there won't be reform anytime soon and they've bought themselves another decade or so to really stick it to the people and make as much money as they can before the system collapses completely. And it will collapse. What a sad day for America.
The bill is crap and full of other stuff beside....Read it, it's horrible for people...all people.....

Really, they told you that? Now that's funny.

Very true.

Default I think an even more prudent question would be "Why continue to vote at all"

We are hand fed our candidates. We vote for the pre approved. Even in primaries, the candidates have been chosen and we get to pick from the litter. But it's not like we put them on the list in the first place. They are all pre approved as possible presidential candidates. And then, once it's narrowed down to two hand fed candidates, we pick sides and try to beat out the competition. Then, once we win, or lose, we sit back and watch our elected officials do everything but represent the people. So why do we keep playing the game by their rules. It's time for actual change people, and step one is seizing control of this insane political monster we have created and start with something fresh. A new way to elect who we really want, democratically. Take control of the media out of the state's hands, and allow people to see everyone who is running, not just the Dem or Repub. Until we do that, there is really no point in voting at all. Because either way it goes, we are screwed.
