Boy that's the truth. Every year by this time I'm ready to turn off the alarm and stay in bed. And these are my 4th and 5th grandkids so I've been going to games for a long, long, long time. With my own kids there was 1 into sports, 1 into theatre, and 1 into ROTC. All of which required regular attendance. I found myself wondering as I drove the 2 hours home today; "What do people without kids and grandkids actually do when they retire?" I'll never know.
You don't want to know....
But it does remind me of that old tune from a Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie...
Heaven, I'm in heaven ..and my heart beats so I can barely speak...heaven...I'm in heaven....
...weekend....same old, same old...gardening, antiqueing, reading, walking, enjoying my yard and garden, going to an auction, maybe fishing, looking for a cheap kayak, napping, steaks, vodka......heaven............
Piddling around the house during the day. Have to set up the outdoor movie screen tomorrow night for our monthly (in the summer) "Movie on the Beach." Tomorrow's feature: Grease, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
I just received the closing date on my house (first time homebuyer ...yay) so I will be spending Saturday at Homedepot and Sunday ...starting the packing process...
