CONGRATS!!!! I'm on a similar boat. I'm on the house hunting side still. (First home as well). I hope you and your loved ones enjoy your new home for years to come.
Thank You gf. Its been 10 years in the making since the Divorce, but i finally did it. Good Luck to you and your family.
Anyone who is a parent or grandparent with kids who are in Little League, Softball, Babe Ruth League, etc. KNOWS what we will be doing weekends at this time of the year. Tournament time. I'm sunburned, my butt hurts from the bleachers, and my throat hurts from cheering. Get up tomorrow and do it again. The hard part is that my grandson is playing at the same time as my granddaughter. I am driving myself nuts trying to make sure they both see me supporting them. And their parents are going nuts between coaching and trying to be two places at once.

Funny story...
My son began playing pee wee football starting the age of 7. When he was 10, i attended one of his games. I was talking to my mother in law, then all of a sudden i looked on the field and said...look at all of those kids piled up on that child....My sister in law looked then said......Thats YOUR child....I took off for the field, my ex-husband tried to stop me (he was the coach) I knocked him out of the way, the umpire told me i couldn't go on the filed, I said if you don't get the hell out of my way....
Needless to say i was banned from my son's game after that point..Not by the team, but my son...LOL...
When he played H.S football i was a little more tamed, I only stood up when he got on the field, i use to count to 15 when he was tackled before going towards the gate...I Its much harder to do it now that he's in college.
Imagine if by some luck he made the Pro's. I know, i'm one of those embarrassing mommies. lol

Oh do I ever know what you mean! Umpires hate me. And when I caught myself yelling at the coach and it dawned on me that he's my beloved son in law........
