House Democrats on Monday hailed a new report by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office that they said proves Republicans are misinforming the public about the effects of health care reform.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other party leaders said at a news conference the report shows that a government-funded public option for health insurance would increase the number of people getting employer-provided coverage. Most Republicans contend a government option would wipe out private competitors.

How is it cherry picking? A new study was published yesterday and the OP put up a post with a link to the study. Is it the OP's responsibility to link to every health care reform study CBO has done? I think not! Those ones have already been posted and discussed and discussed and discussed.

The CBO was forced to put this out by the Whitehouse after they were honest and said it would banktupt the nation. If you can't see that, then there is no helping anyone.

Ding Ding! We have a winner. This is the obvious outcome of last week's little meeting at the Oval Room between head of theCBO and King Barack. Funny how they use the numbers they like (for crap and trap) and then knee cap to get the numbers they want for healthcare. It's the Chicago way.

And the head of the CBO was summoned by Obama to the WH after their report. I guess this was the result of strongarming them. But, it still does not provide credible proof to dispute the claim (not republican claim, but shared by many of us independants) that US Gov would low ball everything so much that a for profit company could not compete. Seems logical even from a very fundamental point of view.

Anyone who cannot see the logic in this is simply in the tank for Obama and the libs and won't be honest about it.

Since we don't know whether the public plan will be an HMO, PPO, EPO or HSA style health plan,(NEVERMIND THE PREMIUM FOR THE PLAN) how could they tell how many people would decide to pick the govt plan as a better alternative to an employer provided plan?

Did you bother to read your whole link. For some reason I think you failed to see this last paragraph. This old stuff of reading only the words you want to see can get your credibility in trouble.

Once each chamber passes a bill, a conference committee will merge the two measures into a single proposal that would have to win approval from both houses before going to Obama. The president wants a bill on his desk this year to take advantage of the momentum of his new administration and avoid the thornier political climate of mid-term congressional elections in 2010.

He sure is, last week when they slammed Obama to the ground he was posting CBO has no clue, today he cherry picks something and runs with it.

What he does not understand is the majority of people do not want Obama to run their healthcare.

He cannot be trusted with your life. He would rather give you a pain pill and get rid of you then spend a dime on you.

Well unless you are his kind and or can do something for him and his band of corruption croonies.
