MINA Breaking News - India not buying Global Warming story

Quote:
A split between rich and poor nations in the run-up to climate-change talks widened on Thursday.

India rejected key scientific findings on global warming, while the European Union called for more action by developing states on greenhouse gas emissions.
Well.....maybe The Goreacle and obama will offer to pay for them too.

2008/2009 - the years the GW hoax was finally exposed.

Most scientists around the globe believe in global warming. Again, the GOP and it's conspiracy theory kooks are in the minority. There is this thing called scientific method and core sampling, try reading more.

6000 of a 1,000,000

In 2007, Harris Interactive surveyed 489 randomly selected members of either the American Meteorological Society or the American Geophysical Union for the Statistical Assessment Service (STATS) at George Mason University. The survey found 97% agreed that global temperatures have increased during the past 100 years; 84% say they personally believe human-induced warming is occurring, and 74% agree that “currently available scientific evidence” substantiates its occurrence. Only 5% believe that that human activity does not contribute to greenhouse warming; and 84% believe global climate change poses a moderate to very great danger.

And, once again:

‘Global warming is a hoax’—I wish James Inhofe were just a hoax ... | How to Talk to a Climate Skeptic: Responses to the most common skeptical arguments on global warming | Grist

In particular:

"Have the environazis seized the reigns of industrial power, in addition to infiltrating the U.N., the science academies of every developed nation, and the top research institutes of North America? That just doesn't seem very likely."

Climate change is real, people. Gore has nothing to do with it. The guy made a film, and SOME people seem to think that this is evidence that he invented the concept of climate change. He did not. Just like SOME people think that PETA is the leading animal rights organization. It is not. SOME people, evidently, get all their information from the media. A pity.

I can't wait until the conspiracy theory kooks against climate change are debunked like the birthers were.

Until then, dear Sarene, I am sure you are aware that India has a vested interest in polluting as much as possible since its economy is just now going through what western Europe did in the 19th century and the U.S. did in the 20th century.

Whether they actually accept the 97% of climatologists who agree that humans are causing climate change, they must deny it politically because it would force them to be responsible.

But they are the equivalent of teenagers right now and can't be expected to be responsible. So, we mature adult nations must shoulder that burden.

Well, human caused climate change does not indicate a direction necessarily. Most research suggests significantly warming trends, but I guess a couple articles could state otherwise.

It's more like India doesn't want to be ostracized for using fossil fuels to lay the foundation for what China has already achieved. It's pure economics - far cheaper to use what comes out of the ground to drive economic growth than to create a whole new paradigm, different from one which has caused the West to flouish in the past 400 years.
