It was the central line, independent and left side conservatives that elected Obama. They was willing to give Obama a chance because he seemed to good to be true to them.
Then they found out the huge mistake they made.
Most Americans are conservative by nature and will normally go after the person or persons who can make things better and will cross party lines to do so. While most liberals would never cross party lines even if they have to vote for a much lesser candidate.
With the majority being conservative by nature people are getting very tired of the massive spending for nothing that Obama is doing.
