Just horrible. Even more so that the parents abandoned her! I sure hope they are charged with criminal abandonment and don't get off for "religious reasons". I'm sick & tired of so-called parents getting off for abusing their innocent children by hiding behind different assorted religions.
last i heard "3rd world animals" did not have the gang rape market cornered.
the father has since said that they never shunned her.
i think they did. at least the father. i think they are ignorant, but they are also capable of assimilation into US society. many cultures assimilate, this one is learning.
and i think CPS has her as part of the procedure. its policy to remove children from homes in cases of abuse. all the children.
AND i agree. i came here to post about this awful tragedy. i was floored by the connection the silly OP made with the gates case.
wow. some people have no heart!

#1 - It's absolutely disgusting to exploit this horrific story to support your political views. One of the most disgusting things I've ever seen on this board to use what this poor little girl went through as anti-Obama fodder.
#2 - Liberia is not a Muslim country... it's actually a Christian majority. This has nothing to do with religion.
But it does have everything to do with culture. Culture can be a great thing - food, music, fashion, literature - but sometimes cultures cannot be integrated as is the case with rape equaling dishonor for the rape victim and her family. The US has made great strides in giving rape victims a voice and freeing them from the taboo of being a victim. Lets not set that back in order to justify 'diversity'.
