He meant the pediatrist was a greedy SOB for taking the most expensive way to take care of the kid. He was accusing our specialists of being greedy and not caring about their patients. I think he would have been avoiding an apology for that kind of talk if he hadn't tried for more division of our people with his racist remarks.
Hey, folks, if you think I am wrong get on here and tell me how I am wrong.
doctors do pad the bill, it happens.
unnecessary duplicative tests are an issue.
LOL No they don't! An insurance company will deny payment on a duplicated bill so it is NOT an issue. That was just proof he has no idea what he is talking about.

True, except Medicaid tends to pay for any tests ordered. It's the government's own plan that is the most wasteful.

That is true... and regardless there are many checks in place to prevent it at most hospitals... the degree of it is probably inconsequential... However Obama had to say something... he just knew very little and was making things up as he was going along... I wonder where he is getting all these misinformation... I hope its not from the letters he reads...

Not when the tests are ordered by different Dr.s...If the insurer does, the payment for that wasteful test will fall back on the patient. Looks like you don't know what you're talking about..I swear, some people sure do love these corrupt @ss insurance companies.

Everything in healthcare is evil. The only salvation is UHC presented by our government. Need you ask anything more ?
Rile the emotions and get everyone on the band wagon.
Herd the lemmings in the direction you want them to go.

Hospitals and labs have to eat the costs and so most will try to stop dupication of tests and those that don't hurt themselves.
The worst program as far as waste is Medicaid because there are no copays and unlike insured and Medicare patients, Medicaid patients don't bother themselves with what tests were ordered and how often.
Insured patients tend to watch themselves what lab tests were ordered because of copays and they know some of the waste could fall on them, the Medicaid patients don't care at all.

What tests are unnecessary when people are sitting back waiting for them to miss something so they can sue them. The reason they do so many tests happens to be the trial lawyers and our sue happy people. Those guys have to protect themselves and the best way is to use every test that could work.
Look someday at how much money trial lawyers have given to people like Obama and then realize why he doesn't want a cap on the amounts that can be used against doctors.
