Honestly, it's not good. We need an intelligent, effective counter party. I'm a democrap (well, until my coffe this morning . . now I'm demo-cleaned-out) . ..

The republickers are narrowing and nutcasing themselves into irrelevance. My in laws were lifelong repulickers since the 30s . . but Bush made them insane and they could not vote for Palin. There are millions, MILLIONS of Northeasterners you can tap . . but you can't appeal to them with Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin or Tom Coburn. You appeal to them with the RINOS.

You're killing your own party . . but as a demo, now crapping, again . . it pleases me.

Oh, and the re-pube-lickers really need to lose the "It's an advantage to be dumb" thing.

The RINO re-pubes we have here in the Northeast are actually very intelligent. But nationally, it's clear, dumb is preferred to smart. Goes back to Reagan who was indeed, quite dumb, but had some smart folks with him. Daddy Bush was really SMART (and really from Connecticut), but hated by the blossoming dumb, angry Right. Let's be real now. W was an idiot, and thoroughly incompetent and damaging to our country; and Palin makes him look acceptable. Where are the William F Buckleys of today??? Glenn Beck?? Sean Hannity??? and the rest of the Fox "13 year old boy mentality" commentators??? LOL!

You need intellectuals in Your party again, my friend. Reasoned, reasonable intellectuals. Nixon may have been a fiend, but he was a competent fiend!

You need smart, reasonable Northeastern RINOs.

BTW: I am very, very, VERY proud that our own RINO governor here in Connecticut herself signed the law allowing civil unions, and later, the law enabling gay marriage, after the court mandated it. She could have let it become law without signing. But nope, she signed it.

And God how families have fallen apart here!!! Ironic that horrible, liberal, immoral, gay marriage states like CT and Mass have some of the lowest divorce rates in the US. The states with the highest divorce??? The Bible Belt, of course!!!

Go RINOS!

I have been a registered Independent voter since 1990 and there is no way I would vote for a Republican today. They have literally lost there minds and are just fear mongering to the 10th degree.
Especially with the issue of Health Care reform. They are scaring seniors into thinking that the Government is going to deny them healthcare if they have terminal conditions, their healthcare will be rationed.

I had to hear Neo Con Bill Kristol on the John Stewart show say the our military Vets should get better care than most average Americans. He is basically inciting "preferential" treatment for some Americans over others.

Today we had all the GOP members except for Graham on the Judiciary Commitee vote against Sotomayor citing her "Latina" remarks. Good luck with that Hispanic vote!

Then we have whacko Palin who quits her job as Governor mid term and is hailed because she stands up to "Hollywood" starlets and those elitists who are trying to take her "guns" away and depriving her of a meal full of nutricious wolves!

Dump the Elephant as your logo and try Quicksand instead!

He also admitted that the Govt runs the best health care in the country.

Hey Mr/Ms. Independent Well-Informed Voter, here's a simple quiz:

Under which administration in recent history did armed forces personnel suffer the end effect of the biggest defense spending cut in history (including the highest percentage of enlisted military personnel appling for welfare due to said reduced benefits)?

(A) George H.W. Bush
(B) Bill Clinton
(C) George W. Bush

I'll give you a clue - this president had a affinity for thick things, particularly cheeseburgers, womens' calves and White House interns.

If you are truly an independent voter, please look at all factors of the issue before lambasting one specific party. Thank you.

I'm rather proud of the GOP's bi-partisanship, working with the Blue Dogs, to scuttle Obamacare.

South City Bill Kristol is a Neo Con douche bag who pushed for the inavasion of IRAQ and yes he did admit at the same time that the Government does run the best healthcare in a system like VA!

Marksman that would be Clinton since the Cold War was over and the Russian Government was collapsing and watching it's satellite states defect in mass. The Military takes up almost half of the US budget and is massively overbloated. What gets me is that your attitude sounds like "entitlement" similar to Socialism. Oh wait the Military is Socialist! Never mind because it is over your head.

Now don't spoil their party with facts. All that legislative crap is so borrrrring to the lefty dudes. They want to rule by decree. And wear pastel merry widows. That's all they want. That's not too much to ask after eight years of Chimpy McSmirkhitler, is it?

Kristol is also the one who started the early drumbeat for Sarah Palin's run.
