1) You call others stupid who did NOT vote McCain/Palin?
2) You use a an article from Newsmax?

Indeed, we have alot of stupid people in this country, in fact, as far as industrialized nations go, we are likely the dumbest on the planet.

Post News Video, Maher: Americans ‘Not Bright Enough to Really Understand the Issues’

"But what the Democrats never understand is that Americans don't really care what position you take, just stick with one. Just be strong. They're not bright enough to really understand the issues. But like an animal, they can sort of sense strength or weakness. They can smell it on you."

He's got a point. On healthcare, many of my fellow citizens were completely mislead on points of it (death panels, rationed care, etc) and the same with a lot of other issues.

Look what it did for GWB. After 2004, it was pretty clear that the Iraq war wasn't going well, and it was clear in the news. He didn't change his strategy until 2007.

Look at how many Americans believed that Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11, or who utter brilliant lines such as, "Keep the government out of my Medicare!"

As usual, Bill Maher nails it. The American masses are credulous dolts, rednecks, creationists, and other remnants and sweepings. Thank goodness there is at least one prominent American with the cajones to say so.

Bill Maher is the H.L. Mencken of our era, and there is no higher compliment I can pay someone.
