The premise of the OP is pretty lame. If you will simply seperate it into fiscal conservative and social conservative, I think you will have a more legitimate topic. I am a fiscal conservative, not much of a social conservative. I dont' care who has sex with who so long as there is consent by all involved.

All I was doing was quoting someone on this forum who calls himself a conservative. My guess is that he believes you can only call yourself a conservative if you are socially conservative.

Conservatism has nothing to do with sex, sexual preference, smoking, drug using or anything that has to do with the private life of a citizen. Moralizing shiite has everything to do with organized religion which should have no place in politics or in political ideology.
