I don't think it's as as people like to scream, or everything is hunky dory. Waste is undesirable anyways, and best to cut the inefficiencies.

I didn't expect much different in the article from a troll who bashes anything outside extreme conservative views, even more moderate ones. It's always fun to see what is posted next.
I agree. We should be conservative with energy and clean it up, but Cap and Con will do nothing for that. Humans CAN'T do anything to "fix" the environment, all we can do is become energy independent and utilize renewable sources when viable.

It is documented that the agents used are 5,000 more times of a greenhouse gas then co2! DOH!!!!! Dumb eletists!
IF that were true HOW is it we've managed to hunt some species into extinction? HOW is it we've managed to clean up LA basin smog?

Apparently the religion of the first world right, after fear mongering, is becoming the denial of science

you need to work on your reading comprehension. I fully believe in science, but not the nut job type you libs do. I believe in facts and reality, not rainbows and unicorns. The 2 things you mentioned are not what I was referring to. For starters we can wipe out animals because we are at the top of the food chain if you didn't know, the 2nd is, we managed to cleanup something that WE MADE! We are not the sole cause of climate change and really are not doing all that much to speed it up. Yes we have an effect, but nothing near the amount that WE HAVE TO ACT NOW BECAUSE THE WORLD IS GOING TO END....1 burp from a volcano puts more co2 into the atmosphere than all of the humans ever did all throughout eternity.

Hahahaha... a geologist and professor of mining geology.

Where, preytell, is this individual's expertise on climatology?

Nowhere? You mean he's just someone in the mining trying to protect his career?

I'll stick with the climatologists, who overwhelmingly agree that humans are contributing significantly to the unprecedented spike in temperature.

No credibility or professional expertise in the field on which he is commenting.

Next.

YOU said "we are powerless to control nature"

Is eradicating one of nature's species from the face of the earth NOT controlling nature ?

Is creating the causes of smog and then eliminating them NOT controlling nature?

Hey barfly, don't put too much stock into a person's climate-change degree. Common sense is 75% of the equation the other 25% is government largess and one's stock portfolio.

It's interesting that when a study comes out that the greenies don't like, they dig like hell to find out if a single dollar was spent by an oil company to fund it, and the study becomes completely meaningless because of it, yet none of these people ever question whether there's a financial motive for scientists to come to the conclusions that many (although not as many as the government and media would have you believe) come to.

Quite a bit of hypocrisy, IMHO.
