Now, however, the argument has expanded to include Democrats in Congress. On Wednesday, Sens. Diane Feinstein of California and Ben Cardin or Maryland introduced legislation that would explicitly prohibit hunters from shooting and killing wildlife from aircraft. To ensure that anyone following the issue didn't miss the political element, the senators noted in the press release announcing the legislation's introduction that it would specifically end the targeting of "wolves."

It is funny to me but you can get jailed and have the crap fined out of you for shooting a deer from a motor vehicle (at least down here) but it is legal to shoot it from a plane!

Sheesh, stupid Californians strike again...it's predator control to control overpopulated wolves, not sport hunting...

There will be more. For instance, imagine what will happen when somebody proposes legislation to ban aerial hunting of moose!

That's already illegal. Generally speaking if one flies into an area for a big game hunt (moose, brown bear, caribou, etc.) that person is not permittd to hunt for those animals on the day of the flight. The wolf hunting is predator control. Of course, the old techniques like dynamiting them in their dens or poison bait could be used again.

Default California gets even with Alaska?

http://tchester.org/sgm/lists/lion_attacks_ca.htm (broken link)

Wildlife management by political process worked so well on mountain lions in CA that they figured they would try it in Alaska.

Motive is to get back at SP? Are you kidding me? Aerial hunting wolves in Alaska has been carried out in that state longer than SP has been alive.
It wouldn't be an attack on SP, it would be an attack on the residents of Alaska. Interference by the lower 48. Hope a few senators form AK make rules to eliminate blue crab harvesting in MD.

If indeed legislators were motivated by political revenge they should be run out of office. Applies to any party and if no one is left in congress or the senate we would be better off.

1. No. In Alaska it is illegal to hunt from a moving vehicle, including boats, or aircraft.

2. The Federal Government can't trump State Constitution.

3. Palin has nothing to do with the wolf control program in Alaska. Governors come and go, but wolf control programs in Alaska have been in effect for many years. The same is done in Canada (Canadian Yukon) every few years.

4. Alaskans voted to continue the present wolf control program a year or two ago.

I'm gonna miss her. I do hope she runs for President, as the comedic value alone will be worth watching.

I really can't wait for Disney to make the movie. Ashley Judd as Sarah Palin and Miley Cyrus as Bristol.

Considering wolves kill just to kill and not just for food, watch other wildlife slowly disappear.

Now who are these idiot Demoncruds taking on?
