They're three men, and Americans together, before they're anything else, sailordave.
Correction, one of them is an American,...the other two consider themselves African-Americans. One has been called a racist on the national news, the other two really are racist.

You cant possibly, possibly believe that people who call themselves [modifier]-Americans arent "real Americans".

They're all three Americans.

Who was called a racist, by which national news program?

And how do you know that the lamb Sgt Crowley isnt racist?

The professor will never ever admit that his attitude and non-compliance to police requests led to his arrest. Never.

This meeting is a waste of time, and as always, the sqweeky wheel (in this case accusations of racism) gets the greese.

Waste of time. Doesn't the president have better things to do?

How do you know what the professor is going to say or do?

This could be, should be, an important symbolic moment - peace and at least amiability demonstrated thanks to calm, honest communication. If it works, good, if not, oh well, you hatemongers win.
