Now what? Will the birthers give it up to stay with their pack, or will they turn their backs on the Party that nurtured and humored them as long as they were useful?

"In the mid-’60s, pragmatic conservative leaders William F. Buckley and Ronald Reagan took a strong stand — repudiating Birch leader Robert Welch’s charge that Ike was a communist agent. Today’s Republican leaders should likewise work to discredit the right-wing conspiracies that have focused on Obama’s White House."

They'll stay the paranoid course. After all, there are still people working feverishly to prove the Kennedy assassination conspiracy theories.

do we really need a new thread every time there's a new article about birthers?

couldn't this have been posted in the other birther thread that is right at the top of this forum?

plus remember, every time you start a new thread they get to say the same stuff over again as if it wasn't thoroughly debunked in 50 other threads.

it was annoying when the birthers kept making new threads every 5 minutes a couple of days ago, but it's equally annoying now that they've pretty much stopped doing that and people keep posting anti-birther threads.

MovingForward - Are you really moving forward, or are you running from the past?

Folks advising others to put the past behind them and to move forward seem to be constantly beseeching folks to trust authority unconditionally.

Where do you people come from?

Mark Joseph: The Only Thing Weirder Than The Birthers....

Quote:
The only thing weirder than the Birthers are the anti-Birthers, who blame the Birthers for being conspiracy theorists yet actively feed the conspiracy by refusing to call for President Obama to release his birth certificate.

The state official in Hawaii who manages such things has reiterated that there is indeed an original birth certificate on file which would confirm President Obama's having been born in Hawaii and that she has seen it, but state law won't allow her to release it unless the president authorizes it.

So what's the problem here? Release the original and let's be done with this madness.

I realize there are some faith-based Obama supporters who believe without seeing, but the rest of us in the reality-based world are starting to get that strange feeling we got when Mark Sanford tried to convince us that he was away from his family on Father's Day, hiking the Appalachian trail in order to clear his head and write a book.

During the last campaign, John McCain faced similar questions and promptly responded by releasing his original birth certificate. That's how normal people with nothing to hide handle these things.
Ohhhh. You will probably never hear from this guy again, at least on Huffpo.

I might even wager he is forced to retract.

Actually I hope this birther thing rears it's ugly head once again. it makes for a great detractor for the already dysfunctional and divisive Republican Party.

If it wasn't "birthers" it would be something else. As a matter of fact, it probably will be! Give 'em time; they'll cook up something that's probably just as ridiculous.
