I would have declined, but in the case of the cop, considering the city he works at, is probably liberal enough to "bond' with his newly found buddies.

It was as private as it was possible for it to be. They werent recorded -- their conversation was private.
I thought it was a nice, good-humored gesture and Im glad it went well. Wonder if Gates and Crowley will change at all as a result of this episode.
