To the OP, FEMA has already built hundreds of interment (concentration) camps to deal with the future economic collapse. Bush passed a resolution that says the president can declare martial law during a crisis which will suspend the Constitution (until they decide to give it back). When the economy collapses late 09/early 08 we will see Obama instate martial law where troops will be able to come into your house, set up assylum, perform search and seizures, and relocate you without warning or giving you knowledge of your wherabouts...you will have no rights. The ecomic crisis that has been ENGINEERED is about to take a turn for the worse real soon when the stock market and dollar crashes. Your money will be worth nothing (better buy some precious metals), your banks will be bankrupt, food & supply shortages...the whole nine.

These are not concentration camps. They are simply stock and can be used as relocation centres in the event of a catastrophic national emergency- like a nuclear attack or a foreign object from space striking the country or a big pandemic. They are not there for ECONOMIC problems.
If the worst were to happen I would want the government to have food and medical stock and be fully prepared. I would want the President to have sweeping powers that he would not ordinarily have. Our survival might depend on it.
Clearly, if the GOP had any cogent and workable ideas to offer in place of those proposed by President Obama, they wouldn't need to rely on such nonsense. Too bad Rumsfeld short-changed the standing military and sent the N.G. to Iraq instead...the response to Hurricane Katrina would not have been so inadequate and criminally inept.

States like Texas will do as they are told to do until the emergency is over. And if Gov Perry wants to challenge the Armed Forces of the United States, we will see how quick they can do field executions.
