Conservatives haven't changed much since the 1970s when Anita Bryant used the same types of arguments to campaign against protecting people from being fired for being gay.
Well, I'm not a Republican, nor am I an evangelical or Christian of any kind. I don't have a problem with gays or lesbians, I do have a problem with people that get turned on by kids, but I don't , nor have I ever, lumped people like you into that group. DJ's take on this is way over the top. Anyone who can condone adult/child sex is way over the top. If there is any one group that I can say I actually despise to the core of my being it's the NAMBLA types and all other pedophiles. They have their'right to expession' ...fine. So do I.

What is your definition of a "child"?

I do not think it should be illegal for teenagers to have sexual relationships with adults as long as it is consensual. Throughout most of Europe, the age of consent is between 14 and 16, and I strongly believe that European countries have an overall healthier attitude about sexuality than Americans do.

Even in the U.S., I think the laws are more liberal than some people realize. In Florida, for example, it is legal for a 16-year-old to have sex with an adult if the adult is under 24 years old.

I'm talking about the sicko's that go around spouting stuff like 'sex before 8 or else it's too late' and calling THAT free speech. I'm talking about pedophiles, not some stupid high school teacher that got seduced by a cheerleader with an older guy fantasy. There is a big difference. The types I'm making the vessel of my hate are not healthy people , sexually. They are demented, sick and need killin'. As to where I, personally, draw a line for consent, ....17.

The age of consent should be around 13 or 14, as it is in Spain, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Peru, Austria, Italy, Iceland, etc.

Basically as more and more comes of pediphile crimes you will see more and more reaction to it. I would not be surprised to see there be the death penalty for many acts in the future as people become aware of these people being a continoius danger. If any bilol gets serious consideration it will turmnout like the last amnesty bill on immagration;hounded to death by e-mails and telephone calls. There really are all kinds of crazy bioll out there that will not see the light of either house.
