While the GOP is focused on its political
strategy for 2010, the American public
is focusing on passing health care reform. Numerous polls (http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1913426,00.html - broken link) conducted recently
confirm that the public option in any reform
bill has majority support.

I'm sure others are noticing that none of them actually "care" about what the public wants; you know, those of us they are "supposed" to be working for, and not "against."
I have no problem with a public healthcare option as long as it is paid for by the people who need/want it and not by those who do not. We all know that will not be the case though.
Tort reform sure would be a great start....unfortunately most of our law-makers are lawyers.

People keep posting this nonsense..If those people could afford healthcare, they would have it. You wont be paying for anybody elses healthcare, you'll be paying into a system that would aid you if you fell on hard times. Most of those people who "need" have paid or are currently paying their taxes. We have become so me oriented as a country. Me got a job, me pay taxes, me don't need help, me got healthcare. The thing "me" needs to realize is that all that could change with a pink slip which would turn "me" into "need".
