Yes...Let's. I wonder how it would actually "feel" to RECEIVE something once in a while rather than constantly give, give, give, give, give to corporate interests, lobbyists, Dick Cheney and Halliburton, and the bank bail-outs (by the way, I see that the banks still haven't opened up their purse strings. Surprise, surprise). God forbid that OUR tax money be actually used for people in the US. The moon will surely fall from the sky soon.
How much is it costing daily to keep us in the war in Iraq??? How many days have we been at war???
How about this, those who pay taxes get the money back?
Odd and crazy idea that those who earn it keep it.
Instead of this program where anyone who can buy a car can get tax dollars from others....
Of course, since there was never a formal declaration of war and there was an armistice, I don't really see why a formal treaty is needed to halt combat.....
So unless your claim is that there's no war without a formal declaration, your claim that there's no peace without a formal treaty falls WAY flat.
Nice attempt though...
Do we still not have 50K troops stationed in the "DMZ"?
Giving people actual cash is worse than giving more money to the automakers....makes sense.
Well, the automakers don't get it unless the people decide to use it.... It's called an "incentive"... It's an attempt to help auto sales and get older cars with bad gas mileage off the road.
You see, there's an actual PURPOSE to this program, whereas just forking over a check was throwing darts blindfolded...
And yes, it is better..... You know why? Giving cash to people didn't do a dang thing for our economy. It was a failure. CFC so far has been successful for the automakers and for those who got a deal on the cars they bought, and for improving the average gas mileage of hundreds of thousands of cars on American highways....
You all wanted an incentive on a plasma TV??? Guess that's what you shoulda spent Bush's "Do whatever" stimulus plan.

We're still at war, declared or not.
Hmmmm, then that's weird because the North Koreans must not think so either, otherwise threatening that some of our actions TODAY would be considered a "Declaration of War" by the United States would seem redundant, don't you think?
You dont' need a formal treaty to end a conflict that was never formally a war.
Why would you assume that they are not Americans? That's ridiculous. He actually is. Takes time to withdraw an invading force. YOUR BOY put all Americans in a shyty position and Obama is doing what he deems neccesary to fix the issues. It aint easy, Bush was a colassal fluck up.
But, but where's the cry for a timeline for withdrawal and what's Code Pink up to these days?

It is solely for the automakers and it doesn't get gas guzzlers off the road...it actually excludes older less fuel efficient vehicles.

Yes to bolster the GDP and the automakers so the useful idiots that abound in this country can think all is well....

It is NOT THEIR money to give away to others....Also remember this depression was ALL caused by debt, too much debt...so the answer? Why buy something on credit...
Pretty much the exact same thing I have been saying.
This is just government trying to boost profits for Government Motors, while at the same time stroking the AGW alarmists who think they can save the planet if people drive a new car that gets 28 mpg vs 18 mpg.
