Yes, it occurred to me. But it also occurred to me that, without fail, liberals on this forum like to paint conservatives as hillbilly, redneck, bible-thumping, militia-minded, right-wingers that are the Satan of this nation. And yes, they also refer to us as neocons. You're rant was nothing more than a broadstroke bash of the Republican party. If you really intended to call out the neocons, you would have referred to the real neocons that Napolitano called out in her DHS report. Instead you bashed everything that has happened in the last 8 years, which is a defacto bash of the Republican Party, or the neocons, as you like to call us. While it is possible that you were differentiating, I highly doubt you were.

Well, you are wrong. I did use the term neo con and not the term conservative on purpose. Those who have read many of my post would know that but since you haven't (and why should you have?) then I don't blame you for leaping to that conclusion. So I make it very clear. I do NOT equate neo cons with conservatives.

It's about time.

Bottom line: Your side won. The direction of the country and its policies are not those of the "neocons." If you believe the destruction of government is underway, I suggest you look in your own backyard for the source.
Absolutely SPOT ON!

Typical response from a liberal. If you take them for what they said, they automatically say, no, you're the dumb one and are reading what I wrote wrong. I really meant this...SPIN SPIN TWIST TWIST.....Write what you really mean then damnit!

For 8 years the neo cons raped and pillaged this country.

That has been going on for a long time and I would say Government in general does that.

They cynically used the national tragedy of 9/11 to shred the constitution ...systematically giving more and more unquestioned power to the administrative branch while intimidating the congress and the press into silent compliance.

I agree and I would like those Neocons named and I would like to know what branch and type of Government they support. Also what is a neocon.. Neoconservatism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia These were the same type of people who ran vietnam and somila and bosnia type idealogies and actually left socialist in nature.
Both Republican and Democrats can be neocons.

They lied us into an unneccessary war with Iraq that turned into a scheme to pour money into Cheney's company, Haliburton while pouring our soldier's blood and the blood of Iraqi citizens into the sand.

They lied to us? You mean congress and government as a whole last time I checked they do this everyday why are we surprised. While I disagree with this war I like to discusss issues like define victory, no nation building and real issues not Cheney's company and illusion that somehow a war was for this reason alone.

They took away the regulations from banks, insurance companies, and investment companies at the behest of long time Bush friends turned lobbyist. This led to the destruction of the U.S. economy and that of most of the rest of the world.

Really? Can I see this because I would love to know where.
While your looking check up on Freddie mae and mac and the we give everyone a home idealogy, no credit, bad credit and the govenrment will back your loan. Barney Frank might know something about that and a few others in washington <---- this is socialist idea again but fits into the Bush neocon social programs.

They provided their corporate friends with enormous tax incentives to move jobs previously held by U.S. citizens out of the country and into countries where people will basically work for food. Surprisingly, this led to growing unemployment and even more to no jobs remaining for working people except minimum wages with which they can not support their families.

You could be right but you can blame most of congress for that one.
Like the continued support for outsourcing and Hb1 visas.

They gave their rich friends enormous tax breaks while piling more and more of the responsibility for funding the government on the backs of the ever shrinking middle class.

Well if we are going to have tax breaks maybe you can ask the government not to spend more then they have. Then next remove the income tax on EVERYONE but I guess that would go against your idea of "fair" By the way everyone got tax breaks some just got bigger ones because they make more money. But lets not pretend like funding the government should be anyone's burden when the government is burdening all of us with its spending and flawed actions. Tax breaks or not 11 trillion in debt means we might want to look at who is spending not who is getting a tax break.

They came to power with a huge surplus and left power with the country so deep in debt that we may never get out.

Didnt clinton lower the capital gains tax increasing the revenue and that was in a sense a tax break for the rich. It does help to have dot coms expanding the work force and stock market. But then again republicans did run the congress and set all the bills and laws for Clinton to sign. hmmmmm
PS Clinton bombed IRAQ and people died to distract us from his cigar and dress issues. But we can ignore those things and I will give some credit to clinton if you still believe that the president runs the economy. Little news flash the government doesnt run the economy and our lives even thou people like you would love for them too.

And now....having torn the country down and sold it off for parts...they are still not satisfied.

Their lobbyist are paying off our wicked, greedy representatives to continue the destruction.

Well dont give the government that kinda of power and you wouldnt have that problem.

They are training thugs to go out to town hall meetings and intiminidate those few who have refused to be bought. They are turning one of the most basic things in a democracy....the ability of normal citizens to talk with their representatives....into nothing but another cynical ploy by the neo con to control by intimidation...while drowning out the voices of citizens other than the thugs.

Welcome to big government

They are spreading lies and propoganda to the gullible to convince these poor people to once again vote against and fight agains their own best interest.
They are convincing these people that having affordable health care that is based upon HEALTH and not the WEALTH of the insurance companies is a bad thing. You would think that no one would fall for this obvious spinning by the insurance companies....you would be wrong.

Well I dont really need convincing that the government run by a future neocon might be running my health. Maybe that is a reason not to have government run it if everything you said in this post means more neocons might someday have some say on it.

And, if nothing else works, they are stirring up the most base nature in those who fear anyone not exactly like them. They are appealing to the inner racist to convince them that no black man could possibly be the president. They are attempting to overthrow the elected will of the people by trying to undo the election with their lies about the president's very citizenship. How vile.

Well I'm still working on Michael Jackson I have no time for other crazy ideas. But I think if evidence is there no reason to hide it IF it is there.

The neo cons are destroying this country. They have us on the ropes and they are trying to spin it so people will actually believe that it wasn't their 8 years of destruction that caused the problems. No, they want people to actually believe that everything was hunky dory before the election and that it was only in the past 6 months that everything went to h*ll.

Really who are these neocons? They are probably the ones who some how think they are conservative or have power none of which is true. Maybe NeoCon Bill Kristol on Fox News is still looking for ways to call Ron Paul a crack pot. I do know Obama has enough to deal with and some of it he creates himself. We are still in Iraq and had more funding and more troops. We bailed out more companies and now we own part of GM. Seems to me that might be some issue and now we are more in debt. I also think most of us just dont trust government no matter who is in the whitehouse.
So while you believe things were bad in the last 8 years I can agree with your completely. Which is why when I see Obama do the samethings that Bush and Neocons do I wonder if maybe socialist and neocons are both working together. After all more wars, more fighting more threats to Iran and more social programs. Bush might be in his 3 term.

Are we going to let this cyncial, greedy bunch completely destroy this country?

You elected them.

How stupid do they think we are?

Appears so stupid they believe everything you said and that more government is the solution.

How stupid are we?

From this independent's point of view, I'd say pretty damn stupid, for one cynical, greedy bunch was voted out, but another cynical, greedy bunch was voted in. People never learn.

Maybe they didn't get the memo - the Dems are driving the bus, and have held the majority in Congress since the 2006 elections. So why are they so unhappy with how things are going? And what are they complaining about? I thought they wanted it this way - this is what they've been voting for since 2006.
