How, exactly, would instituting a public option for health insurance be unConstitutional?

Wrong. The WHO uses five different indicators to determine the rankings. None of the indicators is based upon "access" alone.

WHO’s assessment system was based on five indicators: overall level of population health; health inequalities (or disparities) within the population; overall level of health system responsiveness (a combination of patient satisfaction and how well the system acts); distribution of responsiveness within the population (how well people of varying economic status find that they are served by the health system); and the distribution of the health system’s financial burden within the population (who pays the costs).
PR-2000-43/ WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION : ASSESSES THE WORLD'S HEALTH SYSTEMS

Furthermore, out of 191 countries/member states, the US healthcare system ranks 37th. Clearly, the ranking system was not "developed to push the US to the bottom of the list." However, the fact that 36 other countries' healthcare systems rank higher than the US system is nothing for this country to be proud of. Cuba is ranked 39th. We only beat Cuba's healthcare system by two spots. Cuba.

Thanks for the list. Now I know where I will go when our system gets clogged up for years and I need a kidney or some other transplant or even just some antibiotics.

interesting how the world health organization views tie in nicely with their global warming agenda:
Wrong: World Health Organization claims that health goes down as carbon goes up « Watts Up With That?

My insurance is just fine thank you. They pay most of the bill when I go to the doctor, I pay the co-pay of 20 dollars. I get my meds at Walmart for 4 dollars a scrip---do you think Walmart would have started that program if not for competition? Now Dillons, Walgreens and others have joined in to keep up. No incentives with Obamacare so why bother to stay competative? No more programs like that.
They still have Dillons there?? I am surprised some big chain like Safeway or Kroger hasn't taken them over... remember when Wichita was actually FUN and elected Democrats like Dan Glickman?

Is it possible that unions aren't as strong in Sedgwick county as they once were?

Dillons does still exist and all by itself in many of the larger communities of western Kansas. Of course, they have their store brand which is Krogers. Does that tell you anything.

Not at all unConstitutional but it would be kind of unfair to hope that any company could compete with the state. I guess you don't see that they will be driven out of business because the public option can be infused with tax money to make up for any losses and the corporate companies don't have that to fall back on. Dems squeal about level playing fields and then do this to drive the competitors out of business.

Janelle, your talking points are showing.

You do know that there will be a government appointed board making these decisions, right?
