Roughly one month ago Delaware State Senator (Senator President Pro Tem as well) Thurman Adams (D) died at the age of 80 from a bout with pancreatic cancer. There was a special election yesterday and the two front runners were Joe Booth (R) and Polly Adams Mervine (D and daughter of the late Senator Thurman Adams). Polly had two major things going for her:

Nevertheless Joe Booth won, taking a seat that was held by the Democratic Party for roughly 40 years in a state where the Democrats rule the House, Senate, and the Governor's office.

What is most remarkable about the win was the margin. Joe garnered over 60% of the vote in a heavy Democrat area and trounced Adams Mervine by 30 points.

So this is the beginning of the end of the Obama era....

Have you seen the Town hall meetings about health (s)care?....wow it is clear that most people don't want it and next year it will be more clear how Obama isn't the cool man on the block, maybe on Vanity Fair's list he is cool for pulling up his sleeves...it shows how stupid these lists are...he walks cool and rolls up his sleeves in a cool way, well I know many more who can do that...if that is nowadays an achievement, than what has become of the journalism or magazines in this country!

Wow! I've never heard of such a thing.

Maybe we should be rooting for UHC and Cap&Trade to pass - we will be assured of taking over both houses of congress.

On the other hand, I'd rather sacrifice "party" than country.

That is a definite, indicative pattern pointing to Sarah Palin being elected president in 2012. Thank you very much for recognizing this amazing trend!

Even the hyphenated name didn't help. But, I wouldn't call it over for the leftists yet. They have all the power, paid thug organizers and our money from washington at their disposal.

Something few on the left would ever consider.
