Pick a republican and see if you can find one that doesn't have substantial contributions from the health/insurance/drug industry, or one of their lobbying firms.
I'm sure every one of them gets money from the industry and they always have, just like every other industry that comes before them on issues that concern that industry. What do you think all those lobbyists are for? Every single industry with business before the congress is represented/donates to the parties.

Like I said: Plenty of evidence, but past engagement with you proves that evidence is irrelevant to you.
Really, who do you think you're kidding? This is almost embarrassing - like anyone here believe you have evidence of TH participants being paid by industry corporations. Maybe some left-wing nut blog said it might be so - I have no doubt you would believe it.
I have, independently, "looked into", health care systems in both Canada and Italy. . . I have also looked into the HUGE profits made by health care companies, HMO's, etc., here. I have had employer contributions towards health care for many years now. My costs go up dramatically each year, while benfits go down, and salary is stagnant ! I am being asked to provide $100.00 co-pays for screening procedures that are considered medially necessary. One of my best friends left a prominent HMO as a primary care Dr. because he could no longer tolerate being employed by a company that did everything in it's power to postpone and or deny Dr. ordered patient care!
I firmly believe that those with "golden parachute" health care plans, and of course, always, the very wealthy, will be able to get any care they desire, privatly. . . why in the world would I not want a non-profit health care option. .. and why in the world do you think that shouting that "the government can't do anything right" is any kind of argument. This is supposed to be a government for and by the people. at least 80% of "the people, want UHC from a non-profit plan. . . those of you who do not want that get to keep the plans you have. . . where is the downside!
And DON't tell me I am asking for "something for nothing"! I have reached the age of 64 without any major medical costs, and will likely remain "healthy" for a good long time in the future. I have a living will and a medical power of attorney to assure that when my body is ready to die, no expensive treatments will be used to postpone that! I am probably one of the ones paying for YOUR insurance!

Anyone who applied on that website lost all their rights to privacy and all their information to governments both foreign and domestic, all for a car. You want me to trust what hussein obama and his criminal administrationwill do with everyone's medical info? Surely you must be crazy!
