I'm glad you feel you can trust the government. Which party is it that you trust the most? Or do you trust both of them?

It's sad that people have turned to not trusting the government.

Most recently, we can blame the Bush Administration for that.

But we must not be too naive to believe that the current administration is 100% trustful.

Maybe they will prove to be someday, for now it will take time to trust the government fully again.

They will find a dozen or more ways to raise revenue, and all will most likely go by names other than "tax".

Obama never specified which taxes would not go up. He said "taxes". People assumed he was speaking of income tax. They were delerious with hope, and heard what they wanted to hear.

He said households earning less than $250K, that's concerning federal income tax. That is not going to change, use some common sense.

You'd prefer the continuation of misinformation?
Would you characterize obama's own words as "disinformation"?

You know, that 2003 & 2007 video where obama tells us about his preferences and hopes regarding HC.

Can you just imagine if Bush would have asked citizens to snitch on opponents of his policies - this is a perfect example of the liberal hypocrisy. You have no problem with this, but if Bush did it, you would be outrageously outraged.

By default, you automatically assume that what is coming out of the WH and dems/libs is "truth".

I wonder how many leftists on this board have forwarded threads to the WH?

Really, why don't you guys just admit it; you don't want to hear any criticism or dissent when it comes to obama and his ruinous policies. What you really want to do is shut down "speech" you don't agree with. Just admit it, we all know it's true.

Yes, he said these families would not see an increase in their tax. What tax(es)?

You're parsing words here. You assume he was referring to federal income tax, because that is what a rational person would assume. Obama is a master wordsmith. He has a tendency to rename things in different terms than what is commonly undersood. Remember the renaming of a terror act? It was to be renamed "human caused disaster".

This man doesn't use words the way we do, and we can't always take them to mean what we would expect them to mean. Read between the lines, when the politicians speak.

Why should he increase taxes on anyone? Including people making more than 250k?

How about STOP SPENDING?!!!!

If the opponents of his policies were lying and those lies were affecting big segments of the population, yes Id expect them to want to know who was funding it, what was going on. This never happened, though, for two reasons: one, "liberals" arent as stupid and easily led as rightie sheep, and two, there never was any need to lie about the Bush regime; the truth was insane enough just all by itself.
