The bailouts.
The 'stimulus' package (hell, why didn't he just send each american 100 grand...that would have stimulated things).
Caring, raising, schooling, feeding, and providing health care for illegals.
Welfare.

Why do you people always insist on making these flaming, ridiculous, emotional examples? Of course I wouldn't desert our vets. Those are the people I want my tax dollars going to help. Not that artard cash for cars, or free money to first time homebuyers, etc.

You act like increasing taxes is the only way - instead of redistributing what we already spend to programs that are actually worth a darn. Instead, all our current administration can talk about is what they want to spend money on next.

So predictable. Only obama and the Left speak the truth to you.

And just where is the ACLU in this? Shouldn't this be the exact kind of thing they're supposed to rally against?
You would think . . . but they aren't gonna go up against the man they all backed for Prez . . .

Plus, unless some action is taken against the folks who are "turned in" - the ACLU really has no grounds to bring action.

So even tho the White House is gathering IP addresses and names/street addresses . . . until something is actually DONE w/ those lists . . . nothing illegal has occurred.

You can bet that the White House knows exactly how far they can push such a thing. After all, Mr and Mrs O are both attorneys, as are many of their staffers.

I am sorry. I do not understand your point here. It is cryptic. Please explain.

Me thinks that the people opposing the healthcare bill are the ones that have read the bill.

What 'people'? they are NOT asking for names of anyone! They are only asking what the rumors are. There are many ways to report a rumor without disclosing who said it.
For instance, I could merely write an email to the White House saying "I heard 'Blah, blah, blah.' Is this true?" And the only identifying info that would be attached to that email would be mine. I could copy and paste an entire email into a new email and send it to the WH. Again, in that case, the only identifying info would be mine. Or I could even copy and paste a web page into an email, not using a URL and eliminating any names or user names. Again - no identifying info but my own.

Here's the type of crap they are trying to refute.

Aug. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Representative Tom Perriello said he was approached by two senior citizens who were trembling with fear. The source of their terror, he said, was their belief that President Barack Obama supports euthanasia for the elderly.
The Virginia Democrat said the two constituents were clutching a leaflet from a religious group that purported to be a copy of Obama’s health-care plan. It claimed the overhaul “would pull the plug and decide a 24-year-old’s life was important and that an 85-year-old’s wasn’t,” Perriello said.

For Perriello, 34, who is serving his first term, the incident with the senior citizens “gives the indication of how off the rails some of this is going.” The couple, he said, “were physically shivering with fear.”

it is a stretch, if you know anything about how e-mail works. unless you forward the full header along with the e-mail (and you'd have to pull it up specially and copy and paste it), no one can trace it back to the original sender.

as i said before, when you report a spammer to your isp, they need you to manually copy the complete header information for them. if they can't trace a forwarded e-mail back to the original sender, neither can the government.

retrieving deleted files from a computer has nothing to do with sending e-mail from computer to computer.

Yep, and you could make up an e-mail. Think of the potential mess this would create if vindictive neighbors or co-workers who have a beef against someone
used this method to 'get even'. There are plenty of nuts out there who might already be doing this. Besides, most people will simply forward e-mails, names and all (including signature lines, with titles and places of employment and phone numbers, etc.)

Another example of really poor judgement on the part of the Administration. Maybe it was Obama's idea?
