You should observe this debate with a little more maturity and and take this all a bit more serious. Encouraging the empowerment of government, just because you think the hated insurance and pharmaceutical CEOs will be harmed in the process, is immature.

This is not a partisan issue. When the federal government steps in to curtail some of our freedoms, by eliminating most, if not all, private health insurance choices, who do you think the insurance and pharmaceutical lobbyists will be empowering with their money? The congress and senators of course. The insurance and pharmaceutical industries will always seek to earn profits, they will easily adapt their practices when the politicians run health care.

You have dreams of 0bama and Pelosi running your health care today, well, come 2010 or 2012 we just might see a flip in who is running the show in Washington politics, and your the days of 0bama could be a worn out dream, with republicans running the show.

I do not want to give politicians, from either party, that much power and control over our lives, it only invites corruption.

Eliminating most employer health care will result in limited health care insurance choices for everyone.

If health care is too expensive, finds ways to bring the costs down. Do not just allow the government to create a trillion dollar program to simply absorb the costs, because we taxpayers will have to pay for those costs. I ask you, what incentive is their in government to lower health care costs after they control all health care in the country, when all they need to do is just tax us more, or limit our access to health care?

No, you're confused. That was Bush. The "Patriot Act," remember?

Were you upset by that, as well?

It's amazing how ignorant people are being manipulated by the right-wing media, as that media continues to fearmonger and twist the facts.

Hey- no problem. Facism is just fine when it comes from Obama. The libs have put thier heads in the sand to what this guy is doing.

Is there any lib out there that thinks this is a good thing? This (as well as the other facist proposals should scare the crap out of anyone who values their personal freedom.

Support your claim that the word and intent are "nearly identical" with a rhetorical analysis of the two texts. You have to substantiate your claims with an actual analysis. Otherwise, your claim is nothing more than an unsubstantiated claim, which isn't worth refutation.

The left has been famous for fearmongering and hate lately. This is another example of the government trying to control the people
