Some people will object on moral grounds saying they don't want their money to be used for abortions, which makes sense since it'd be a government option.

I don't know what kind of coverage is available now for abortion cause I've never looked into it, but if any private insurance covers it (I would if I were private insurance, it is cheaper than costs of having the baby), then the people objecting would already be paying for it.
Geezus. Plastic surgery and a boob job is a legal medical procedure, but insurance doesn't cover it.

OCPs, viagra, and abortions (unless for medical reasons) shouldn't be covered by anyone's insurance. Driving up the price for people's sexual choices.

Gee, health insurance covering a legal, recognized medical procedure.

As opposed to the conservative agenda, right? Your hero (now thankfully out of office) was so accountable to the entire nation, it's frightening to contemplate.

Guess we shouldn't cover anything for the obese, right? THAT's more often than not a choice.

No coverage for smokers either, right? Again, their choice.

Burdell, I agree. Or at least increase their premiums accordingly. Oh, wait. They already do.

I'm sorry, could you show me your shining example of Republican/Conservative accountability before you start casting stones from that glass house??

I cannot think of one Conservative who's come out and said, "Ummm, yeah.... We tried that and it didn't work... Oops..".

Of course the other possibility is that you believe the Republicans/Conservatives are never wrong.... In fact, withdraw my request. I'm guessing that's actually what you think...

Bluecross covers abortion AND prenatal care/maternity in my plan. It's a $100 copay for an abortion, I believe.

Yeah, you're right. I get women pregnant on a regular basis and I need someone to cover my cost.

You know us liberals and being proabortion!

If I was an insurance company, I would much rather pay for an abortion.

It cost about $25,000 to have a baby, it cost about $300 for an abortion.

If you are footing the bill, which would you rather pay?

Same reason they won't cover LASIK. It's a procedure that you get because you choose to, but there's really no medical necessity behind it. As much as the left pushes it 99.999999% of abortions are done because they don't want a child. Period.
