The words of Obama on the confirmation of Justice Roberts.
"Let me also say that I remain distressed that the White House during this confirmation process, which overall went smoothly, failed to provide critical documents as part of the record that could have provided us with a better basis to make our judgment with respect to the nomination. This White House continues to stymie efforts on the part of the Senate to do its job. I hope with the next nominee who comes up for the Supreme Court that the White House recognizes that in fact it is its duty not just to the Senate but to the American people to make sure we can thoroughly and adequately evaluate the record of every single nominee who comes before us."
logicwings (who apprently never lets logic get in the way of a thread slamming Obama) LIED in the title of this thread when he wrote it. This thread and the statement by Senator Schumer have NOTHING TO DO with records when running for President.
The statement was about the WH refusal to release SCOTUS nominee John (friend of all business interests) Roberts' writings so the Senate could get an idea of his "legal reasoning and philosophy. Of course the WH refused to release them. If they had they would have shown that Roberts ALWAYS votes for business interests over the individual, insurance companies over accident victims, the prosecutor over the defendant, the state over the condemned, the government over the individual and the executive branch over the legislative.
During his nomination hearings Roberts declared that he would rule with "modesty and humility", but his record after (4?) years shows that he is anything but. Instead he has turned out to be a doctrinaire conservative.
Obama suspected as much, and had the records been made available it's possible that Roberts may not have been confirmed.
Please, quit posting LYING thread titles, all they do is get you exposed for being a TROLL.
