No one is advocating that and this bill does NOT say anything like that.

Groundless fears. Nowhere in the bill I have read does it say anything about 'health care rationing' and if you think there aren't already long waits, you haven't been to an ER at an urban hospital in the last 25 years or so.

You don't need to hurt the many to help the few.
And people wonder why the WH wants to know what rumors are floating about health care reform? Sheesh!

The VA is run by the feds, it has nothing to do with the state that the clinic happens to be in. This very clinic I used to go to was in Pensacola, FL which has a VERY high retired military population, you'd think the clinic would be pretty good. The whole place was like a damn assembly line, "go to the next window please, next!". I've never in my life seen such a depressing place.

I'm sure you're an intelligent person. But wow! You really got sucked right in. If you believe that, I honestly feel sorry for you.

Senior citizens forced into Medicare or they forfeit social security. Do you know why? Because private insurers are Medicare's biggest fan. The need Medicare. Private insurers do not want seniors as customers. Medicare is what makes private insurers profitable.

Even though the overhead for Medicare is run extremely efficiently with a 2% overhead, it still loses money. Now tell me, how in the heck can the terribly inefficient private health insurance company, operating with a 30% overhead, make a buck with exclusively elderly and sickly customers?

I started paying into the plan in the 1990, so you can understand why I'm extremely pissed. YOU HAVE NEVER PAID YOUR FAIR SHARE AND YOU NEVER WILL. HOWEVER, because I've been taxed for it since i was 16 I've been supporting your pill popping butts for far too long. I'm sick of all the socialism that exist in this country. SICK AND TIRED OF IT! (PARDON THE PUN) I DON"T SMOKE, I DON"T DRINK, AND I DON"T EAT FAST FOOD, SO WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE THAT MADE POOR HEALTH DECISIONS IN THEIR YOUNGER YEARS???? Explain it to me!!!

FICA & SECA Tax Rates

FACTS TRY AND DISPUTE IT!
Medicare is mainly for seniors who have worked and paid taxes. But Medicaid is the group that many have not worked and have not paid their fair share.

Disabled individuals have no option because they can't work but many, many medicaid people could work but choose not to. It is easier to spawn and be taken care than have to support themselves.

Actually, if you are over 65, you have NO CHOICE - you must take Medicare as private insurers will not accept you. No group, no HMO, no private. The only choice is to self-insure and very few have the financial means to do that.
As someone else suggested, do some research before speaking of things you have no first-hand knowledge of.

Let's try this: Social Security and Medicare are, essentially, a government run Ponzi scheme. You are paying so someone older than you can get money - just as someone will be paying so you can get money when YOU are older - if you get any older - with your pi ss poor attitude you might not -

And, you wrote SO WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE THAT MADE POOR HEALTH DECISIONS IN THEIR YOUNGER YEARS? How exactly do you know they, the "elderly" made poor health decisions in their "younger" years? I know seniors today that can run circles around the likes of you junior - they could bust your butt without thinking about it.

Then again - there are some that have physical limitations - some were caused by PROTECTING YOUR FREEDOMS - they lost a limb in war - have you been shot at Junior? Had a RPG go off 10 feet from you? HAVE YOU!

So - here is what I'm going to suggest to you - SIT DOWN - SHUT UP - AND JUST SAY "THANK YOU" TO THOSE WHO ARE WISER AND BRAVER THAN YOU WILL EVER BE!

Are we clear now Junior?

Please tell me that it is your political leanings that is talking, and it isn't really you, that you believe that is how Obama thinks.

The bottom line is you don't care about your country, only your party line, which essentially is "scurew you."

Look face the facts Great Day. I do not give a dam which war you fought in, because it is not germane to the argument. Your little emotional tirade has done nothing more then solidify my point. If you did your 20 years of service in the Army you'd have a very nice pension to live on. Furthermore if you invested and saved your money you'd have even more to live on, so you would not be a burden of the state.

Are you kidding me? War does not stop someone from being wealthy and rich nor does being shot at in war. I can look no further than my own grandfather who fought 3 terms in Nam, so go cry me a river. He got shot at, but worked for the Army for 40 years and receives a pension, which pays for most of his activities. He is not a burden of the state and never wants to be. Granted he also benefited from the GI BILL, but he was smart enough and savvy enough to save for his retirement. He also broke a lot of bad habits earlier on in life, so they did not affect him much in his later years. (LIKE SMOKING)

If you really want me to be a jerk about it. Why don't you get a list of the number of soldiers that fought in each of the wars in the US? It isn't even more than 1% of the current population, so your bs diatribe, while it may be true for a very tiny percentage of individuals, that did a valuable service to this great country it is certainly not true for most elderly individuals. I cannnot stand people like you who cannot deal with the facts, so they bring in some irrelevant emotion bs to an argument that does not belong. Stick to the argument i'll write it again below

MOST ELDERLY INDIVIDUALS HAVE NOT EVER PAID THEIR FAIR SHARE INTO THE GOVERNMENT SPONSORED SOCIALIST PROGRAMS THEY LEACH OFF OF! IT IS A FACT!

LIKE MANY PEOPLE HAVE RESPONDED IT IS A PONZI SCHEME AND YOU SHOULD BE THANKING ME YOU"RE EVEN ABLE TO GET MEDICINE AT THIS POINT BECAUSE I"VE BEEN PAYING FOR YOU TO POP PILLS SINCE I WAS 16 YOU UNGRATEFUL SELF RIGHTEOUS S*B. I CERTAINLY APPRECIATE YOUR SERVICE TO THIS COUNTRY, BUT THAT DOES NOT ENTITLE YOU TO COME BACK NOT WORK AND THEN LEECH OFF THE YOUNGER GENERATION, BECAUSE YOU DID NOT SAVE YOUR MONEY OR LIVE A HEALTHY LIFE!

DID YOU SMOKE WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER?
DID YOU DRINK WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER?
DID YOU EAT HEALTHY WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER?

IF YOU CANNOT ANSWER NO TO THESE THREE QUESTION SHUT IT!

70-80% OF THE HEALTH PROBLEMS IN THE US ARE CAUSED BY THE INDIVIDUALS POOR CHOICES IN MAINTAINING THEIR OWN HEALTH

SO FACT IS ANYONE THAT IS ON MEDICARE HAS NOT PAID THEIR FAIR SHARE INTO THE PROGRAM. IT IS A PONZI SCHEME AND THE TAX OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS IS JUST NOT HIGH ENOUGH TO HAVE ALLOWED YOU TO PAY IN THE AMOUNT THAT YOU HAVE TAKEN OUT!

NOW, YOUR SITUATION IS UNIQUE AND I DO RESPECT YOUR SERVICE TO THIS COUNTRY, BUT YOU ARE AN EXCEPTION TO THE RULE BUDDY! MOST OF YOUR ILK ARE LEECHES AND DID NOT SERVE OR PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE FACE IT!
