But - why didn't the people just calmly wait for the time when questions would be taken to ask the questions?
They were repeatedly interrupting.
it would have been nice for them to act more camly, but when things like this that effect the elderly and people with health problems so much, it is hard to contain emotions. I for one, broke down into tears earlier today. I have MS, and right now I am in a damned if you do, and damned if you don't situation.

I'm sorry.
My point is simply that juvenile behavior and obnoxious interruptions won't get anyone anywhere. A calm discussion/debate is much more likely to be effective.
Right now, the anti-health care reform crowd is making itself look psychotic. Childish rants and yelling are not the right ways to voice objections.
I don't support the legislation myself, but I'd never go to one of these meetings and behave this way.
