"It's tempting, at times, to feel a little sorry for the right-wing mobs, made up of people who may not know better. They're convinced that fascism is upon us and competition between private and public insurers will mean the end of Western civilization. Clinton-era tax rates represent Soviet-style governing, and those FEMA concentration camps, staffed by ACORN volunteers, are right around the corner.
"But the pity quickly dissipates when I see them applauding the clown comparing health care reform and the Holocaust. They may be victims of a right-wing con, but they also have a responsibility to at least give decency and critical thinking a try, and resist a mass movement that's more than a little dangerous.
"Policy fights like the one we're watching unfold put their character on display, and it's not a pretty sight." Steve Benen
Pay attention, righties. This is what your side of the philosophical divide is becoming.
Because they were never attacked. The film is likely touched up and photoshopped. Why would racist blacks beat up another black, just because he's being an Uncle Tom to them?
there is film of the attack? where? i am asking sincerely. all i've seen is footage of people yelling at each other.
Sounds like the liberal left is getting a little scared........the honeymoon is over and 2010/2012 is starting to become a reality huh? That must be the case considering the all-out assault on those taking their government to task.
Or in the words of the Reverand Wright, "The chickens have come home to roost."
The death threats are starting. Yet the threads I've pointed out are focusing on alleged left-wing "thug" tactics ... as if the left has an interest in disrupting health care town meetings.
Right wingers have a deeply held notion that people are too stupid to see through their tactics. They think that because they themselves act like ignorant tribalists, the rest of us are too.
Not true. We want a better America. We want regulated markets and social safety nets. We want a health care system that works better and cheaper.
You all can disrupt all the townhalls that you want. But you can't stop progress.
Seriously - the number of threads started by crazy wingnuts desperate to try and deceive people into thinking that this phenomenon is anything other than right-wing thugs is now vastly outnumbering the threads that have to do with the actual events.
Are you wingnuts just flooding the zone to try and overwhelm reality? It really is insane.
I have two questions for you, are you getting paid to post? How old are you?

And we're humored, because the right is killing their credibility on all fronts - with birthers and mob tactics and hysteria about email collection - you all are funny!

What's perceived as progress depends on the person looking at it. What's "progress" to you may be destruction to others.
