Nope. Sorry. You don't get to pick and choose. I didn't want my tax dollars to pay for the Iraq War, but I had to accept the fact that Bush was President and that Republicans controlled Congress.
Democracy is hell when your side loses.
I can see that you don't watch Glenn Beck and that you didn't hear him talking today to Daniel Hannan about socialized medicine. Admittedly Hannan is not 40 yet so he hasn't lived with it so many years in the UK but what he said about trying it to see if you like it made too much sense to me. He said that once you go there you are stuck, like it or not. The UK's medical system is the third largest employer in the world with 1.4 million people. Number one is the Chinese Army and number two the Indian rail system and that is one sorrily run system. Anyway when and if we get it we could expect about 8 million in the system and surely it would be a lot like in the UK where the managers that run the system outnumber the doctors and nursers. We have about 6 times as many people as they do so that wouold put our system at about 8 million. If managers outnumbered doctors and nurses that would make at least 4 million of them and that would be one huge lobby.
Hey, if you watch Glenn Beck Clips Week 32 you can pick that segment out from the others. Some people here might watch that but most won't because HuffingandPuffingPo doesn't like Beck.
What Massachusetts has is very close and it isn't working nearly so well as they thought it might. The problem is that once you have it it is hard to get rid of because of the bureaucracy it takes to run it. That turns out to be a very tough lobby to beat. I think that NY has earned it.
You are probably right, but I am thinking . . . Obama's home state of Illinois would be honored to bear the torch for their favorite son's grand plan.
If Obamacare is supposed to be so good for us, let's give it a try. But since the dems want it so bad, we should try it in a blue state for let's say, 3 years. If after 3 years it doesn't work, well too bad, they are stuck with it like Canada or the U.K
I suggest we try it in NY, IL, CA.
Great idea! I'd hope not in CA where I am, especially having been a part of the government care here is awful, meaning that people often lose their health in various ways. I don't understand why the media is not talking to people in government health care here in the states, the things I've heard and seen!
Our tax dollars?
Great, cause they've been sucking the blue teet for too long.
