Michelle Obama orders secret service to "confiscate" cell phones (state, foreign)

Unlike the OPer, not even the New York Post alleges that the cell phones were confiscated by the Secret Service. If they had been, surely the New York Post would have been delighted to tell us.
Remember that no First Family drops in on any establishment without advance notice of some sort. The owner of the restaurant, a minor celebrity himself, knew of the visit in advance and likely set up some rules, one of which undoubtedly was that he wanted the First Family to enjoy the meal. Likely what happened is that he informed other patrons of the First Family's visit and offered the option of checking their cell phones or coming back at another time.

You lied when you claimed the Secret Service confiscated cell phones. You have absolutely no support for that allegation. You provided a link which, as usual for your posts, did not support what you allege.
I'm going to take a wild guess as to the scenario and I certainly hope that is the case. The Secret Service gave the patrons the option of either leaving or having their phones temporarily confiscated with the blessings of the burger establishments owner.
Yeah cause a burger joint wouldnt want the public to see her eatting there and get free ad time. Makes total sense

Yes because they wouldnt want pictures out there of the 1st family eatting there and get the free ad time. Like how the sells went up for that one resturant that obama went and got burgers for people during the abc love feast . lmao
If Michelle does not like her or the kids photo taken then she needs to either live in the bunker with Joe until we can get her ass out of Washington or she needs to take the kids back to Chicaaago where they belong anyway.
Where as she been anyway? I thought most first ladies were active in the community and helping people raise money etc. Not her?
If this is in fact true she needs to be called out on it, she has no right to order anything that belongs to a person to be confiscated.

Celebrity chefs are far more concerned about the dining experience of their celebrity patrons than you apparently realize. This restaurant doesn't need cell phone snapshots of the Obama's eating to get publicity. The restaurant is already popular and well known which is why the First Family went there.
