Much better to check out the cancer, heart attack and stroke survival

Let's see those stats and facts, please.

However, I know of many people that actually go to other countries from the US to get care. My mother's friends, a French ex-pat, has kept his medical benefits active in France (he pays a yearly fee for this since he has lived in the US for decades) and even though he has private health insurance in the US, it was still cheaper, and he got a phenomenal level of care, going back to France to have knee replacement surgery.
Remember to keep it local!! Forum rules!!

I believe the forum rules indicate that all political discussions belong in the Politics section.

We have two parties speaking their minds about the health care proposed. What I do not understand is how the politicians who use the government health care are saying that it is not for the everyday American citizen but is just fine for the politician who has free health care. It is just like any other large corporate business that is trying to hold on to their inflated profits. Pharmacy on every street corner reminds me of a gas station on every street corner. They are making the profits and can afford the best realestate. It reminds me about when the insurance industry asked the government to take over the Medicare business but later on when there was a developed need and a way to make money the insurance industry asked the government to step aside.

Moving this to the Politics forum, since what's being discussed is not local to Raleigh.

the original post that I made was in no way political and I believe the Moderators should not let threads be hijacked in the way that this thread has been. Surely the 'political posts' should be deleted rather than moving a very local Raleigh topic to a forum that was never intended

I would love to discuss the issue but you called my thoughts
"fear mongering" and positive discussion is rare when the name calling begins.

When your 'facts' are not based on what is being sorted out in our country and what goes on in other countries but instead is a series of fear mongering sound bytes....well...it's not name calling.

It's calling you out to prove your statements.

The fear mongering, lying and strong-arming is actually coming from the Obama administration. That's what the far left wing people do. He clearly stated in previous years that his full intent is to eliminate all private insurance and have a single payer system. He stated that you do it in baby steps, as he is currently doing. This is why they tried to ram it down our throats, just like his other failed policies. When Americans awaken to the scam that is being pulled by Obama and the rest of his crooked administration, then he and his friends in the media try to shut people down. That's why they are BREAKING THE LAW now by having people snitch on their friends and send personal emails to his administration. THAT IS ILLEGAL YOU KNOW, but he gets away with it because the media will not expose him.

The left wing wackos can spew out whatever nonsense they care to. It doesn't matter anymore. America is waking up and the rebellion is starting.

One term and the joker is out on his socialist a$$ and we can get some well deserved change from the nightmare change he has delivered to us.

Let us know when there is another.
If you do not call your representatives NOW
do not complain when our health care
is like Europe and Canada.
I definitely won't complain if we can get something like that! I did write to Brad Miller today to tell him to ignore the death threats and that I was behind him 100%.
