But most Euro countries have pretty high life expectancies. I don't think that's an issue. The wealthy all over the world often make vacations out of medical procedures.

On the flipside somewhere along the way we started looking at Healthcare as too much of a profit-driven business. That is a serious problem.

Nope - never said nor implied such. And, I would really appreciate it if you would refrain from mischaracterizing my posts. As a Moderator, I'm surprised you would do such a thing. Do all Moderators do what you do?

Oh, I get on the interstates once in a while. And no, none of my family went to "publicly funded schools or universities". And where I live - law enforcement is 30 minutes away and as for fire protection - I'm personally responsible for fire protection - no fire department services me.

I guess that shows who has integrity and who doesn't.
Uhm, before you start using Geeoro's "Data" you might want to examine it a bit more closely. Unless you're of the same unique mind set, you likely wouldn't consider such to be actual data. If you are however of the same mindset then you won't be interested in any falsifiable data anyway.

In short, you're judged by the company you keep.

The US spends 50% more on healthcare as a percentage of GDP than other industrialized nations. See Exhibit 4 on this page:
http://www.kff.org/insurance/snapshot/chcm010307oth.cfm

And this is the case even with a number of uninsured Americans that is larger than the entire population of Canada! Texans have it the worst, with 24% of Texas residents having no health insurance.

We spend less than 10% more of our GDP on healthcare than France does. But we also have almost a 10% better cancer survival rate.

So what? What's a "better cancer survival rate"? 30 days? What are you talking about, specifically?

You understand that TODAY there are TENS OF MILLIONS of Americans with no health insurance coverage. #FAIL
