Obama is on the run, desperate to get his radical health plan rammed through Congress.

But Obama's falling poll numbers have hurt him and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's efforts for their healthcare fiasco.

Obama out-and-out lied this week when he claimed that the AARP, the nation's largest seniors organization, backed his healthcare plan.

The organization does not support it.

Nancy Pelosi has even compared citizens protesting against the health plan with Nazis.

No. I know that reading comprehension really isn't your thing but this is untrue.

The AARP is in agreement with a version of Obama's proposed healthcare plan. They will not publicly acknowledge until a more finalized version has been worked out.

.
Why is it that you have to start your posts with attacking someone? This isn't the 4th grade.

No, the AARP states they are in favor or reform. They do not support any plan at this time.

Most of us are in favor of reform. It's HOW it is done. As they say, the devil is in the detail.

Obama didn't lie in that instance. AARP DID come out early to say they support the plan, then they back tracked when they saw their members tearing up their cards.
AARP sells supplemental insurance, so they have a vested interest in getting on the bandwagon, just so they don't get left out in the cold. They do a lot of lobbying (for the AARP, of course, not for the members).

In all fairness to Obama, he does not lie. He very cleverly misleads by knowing in advance how a listener will (mis)interpret what he says. We know he doesn't use words quite the same way most of us do, and he also knows that people hear what they want to hear, unless they are listerning critically and unemotionally. Obama uses that to his advantage.

Obama said they are on board with this and the CEO has come out and denied being on board.

Yes Obama lies all the time.

He tells you one thing and then send out the red headed nutcase Gibbs to say, well he did not mean it that way.

This administration is a complete mess, none of them are on the same page and none of them have a clue what the other one is doing.

How the hell can you run an entire country when your administration is never on the same page with anything.

All those lack of experience issues and organizational skills Obama is suppose to have are showing up.

We all said he is not a leader and will designate everything to others. All so he can blame them for the mistakes I would guess.

This WH is in total chaos.

I'm listening to conservative talk radio right now and there is a regular AARP sponsored commercial supporting the Congress health care reform bill. I'd say in this case Obama isn't the one lying. It's AARP who is lying to try to stem the tide of members canceling their membership.
