Do you understand the difference between someone claiming to be a soccer mom and someone claiming to be a physician?

Do you realize that one is a felony and one is not?

But let's say the expertise claim is more egregious in the doctor example, the fact is is that both actions in both situations manipulate and undermine democratic practice, which is certainly the greater issue. And unfortunately, it is likely that attendee misrepresentations is a chronic tactic at these town halls on both sides.
I'm more concerned about the "misrepresentations" coming from our elected officials in these twon hall meetings.

Some of the people at these events are always going to be activists, and that is fine, its the American way of lobbying in favor of, or against, a cause or policy that government wants to put into law.

So no matter who these people are, listen to what they say, to the veracity and context of the questions they ask, and listen to the answers they are given.

I do not care if a political operative asks a legitimate question, or if it came from Dino Kalindi the shop owner, the questions may still be totally relevant, and the answer from the politician may be lies and spin.

I have yet to hear one of those politicians citing the wording in the bills under discussion to prove them correct and justify their positions for health care. All I hear are anecdotes and goofy analogies from them, and especially 0bama.

Come on, its a lame argument, especially from the POTUS, to scare people into going along with government control over health care, because of the specter of mythical evil doctors cutting out organs and chopping off feet to make a buck. As if 0bamacare will go line by line, diagnosis by diagnosis to prevent any of that.

It's just more proof that both "sides" of the partisan issue are based on lying about socialism... The Demopublicans and the Republicrats can't admit to the people that it's all been based on OUR CONSENT.

If you want to see a representative pee himself, just ask, out in the open, "Can you tell me what constitutional law requires all Americans to enroll in Social Security?"

Or, "Can you tell me what constitutional law punishes any American who does not participate?"

When we write to the Congresscritters, they won't respond. When we write to Socialist InSecurity administrator, in Baltimore, MD, the form letter reply is succinct: The sole legal reason to enroll is to participate in the entitlement program.

It's 100% voluntary - voluntary servitude. But millions of Americans are persuaded that there is some law that requires them to get "their number" before they can work in their own country.

So the politicians can excuse themselves, by saying, "YOU CONSENTED!"

And the victims have no recourse, because enemy #1 is looking back at them in the mirror.

Funny thing - Since we all volunteer in, we should be able to volunteer out. But when we ask for the legal procedure to cancel our account, we hear the faint strains of "Hotel California" playing the background.
Must be a coincidence.

Umm, it's only a felony if she claims to be a doctor and then offers medical advice or actually practices on someone. There is nothing illegal about claiming to be a doctor and then offering political advice.

Plants undermine they system. It disgusts me. It totally distracts from the point. Just like having some jerk out of work, unlicensed plumber complain about how Obama's tax plan will undermine his buying a business that he isn't actually planning on buying. If a demographic wants to stand up and speak for themselves, let them. But making up stuff for the sake of political games- this isn't participating in the system, it is making a joke of it. And as an American, I don't appreciate that.

I see that you hadn't seen Fox yet yesterday. Have you heard about the woman at the Allen one who claimed to be a dental technician of some kind and turned out to have been an Obama rep last year and is not employed in a Dem group. Lies are rampant from both sides but I think it is time for us to stop trying to top each other about who tells the biggest lies.

And even worse......when Obama himself pretended to not know or recognize the 11-yr-old who asked the coy little question about 'people being so mean' outside. She was the child of one of his contributers/campaign workers and had traveled all over the country with them during the summer campagin ....and she was invited to the White House Easter Egg roll.
