my original point was that odonnell lied when he said that obama never said he was for single payer, universal health care. the youtube video proves my point. as usual, people choose to divert attention to the messenger, not the message.

The poster you quoted was not propping her up.

I thought it was interesting that she was yelling about wanting to "return to the Constitution", but then said she had never been interested in politics in the past. I think she even said she couldn't remember who she voted for in 2000.

Saw it.

Noted that she is the type of person used by every regime from Mussolini to Pinochet to justify authoritarianism.

Noted her basic ignorance, bovine indifference to war, and ability to lie to herself without even noticing.

Far scarier than anything Hollywood has ever ginned up.

Yea, you picked the wrong interview to post that response. You should have played the video. Yes, Obama in 2003 said he was in favor of a single payer health system, but since he's taken office or Run for President he has not said anything remotely close to it. I think that was O'Donnell's point.

Look, i actually think they are going to eventually get us to a single payer health system. It may not happen in the first 10-20 years of the new program, but it is bound to happen, if the US government is able to secure a large number of services for the cheapest premiums etc. Most people are bound to end up using the service.

However, i suspect, the government thinks, that the medical insurance industry, will adjust to the new competition and lower their premiums and extend their services if they would like to retain customers.

Capitalism is about making a profit and that is why insurance companies operate the way they currently do. They have an obligation to shareholders, so if i'm a shareholder and my company does not cover your life threatening disease or whatever, because it will end up costing the company significantly more then you put in, i do not blame them for sealing your death ticket. However, do not complain about the system and demand government intervention if that is not really what you want.

If you like the current system, the government is giving you the option, but if i was the government I'd say OK fine keep you insurance and you'll never be given the opportunity to opt into the government plan should your insurance company drop certain things they do not want to cover. Since i'm a healthy younger tax payer i'll be subsidizing you sickly individuals my advice is to stop eating so many dam cheeseburgers from MacDonald, stop smoking cigareets, and drinking on a such a regular basis.

I saw the interveiw! OMG! I felt sorry for that woman too. She didn't even know the BASICS, and at that TH meeting, all those people were cheering for her.......

People like this woman just demonstrate how easy it is for the sophisticated men and women, who are trying to "protect" the insurance industry and keep them rolling in big $$$, to get the uninformed to do their bidding at the TH meetings!

Here's the interview on Hannity.

She was a former democrat wonder what caused her to shift her policies (she changed parties this year after Obama was elected..big surprise). She voted for Bill Clinton another president that favored universal health care. I'm starting to feel sorry for her. NOT!

She should be ashamed of herself and her husband should be as well, since he put this dingle-berry up to it. Now, she is embarrassing herself every where she goes.

Hannity even tried to save the dumbo, by asking her light weight questions.

SHE NEEDS TO TAKE A 9TH GRADE CIVICS CLASS
