Jill61, I'm as non-partisan as you could possibly be. I'm not a member of the republican or democratic parties. I'm a free-market individuals and a strong supporter of the constitution (I have actually read it and studied in school lol). I'm more interested in small government, so i oppose government social programs like healthcare, medicare, and social security. I pay my taxes, I vote, and i make a modest income.

I think you're 100% correct in your response. I think there is a small portion of people, like myself, who are seriously concerned about the expansion of government. However, we have not been concerned since Barrack Obama took office. We have been here since the days of Milton Friedman, Barry Goldwater, Ron Paul and a number of other influential politicians and economist who have argued in favor of small government.

This new group of hate mongers are racist and have no real interest or understanding of small government. I hate the fact they have latched on to my seriousness in ending big government, just to support and hide their racist ideologies. They are a very vocal minority, but they are causing a lot of disruption. They are a very dangerous group of individuals and i believe if left unchecked are more dangerous to America than any foreign terrorist network (think Oklahoma City, World Trade 93, Church Bombing in the 60's, Abortion clinic murders, and the list could go on).

My biggest problem with people like these individuals is they destroy progress. Whites and Blacks have been mending the past for over 40 years. It has been a slow process, but the election of an African American President by popular vote, showed, that we are moving further and further from a race oriented society and we are more willing to vote for the guy that is best qualified regardless of race. (In the two largest parities lol, i personally think Ron Paul was the best choice, but i think you'll get where I'm going with this)

I know this new concept is extremely scary for these individuals, but this should not be a call to change our current system. I do respect those that have a genuine interest in reforming our current system, but i do not believe the majority of these people have any serious interest in reform. They need to learn to adjust and move forward. A lot of these individuals (not surprisingly) are in the elderly population, they will soon die off and progress will move forward with or without their support.

Healthcare is a very tense issue, but to subvert discussion and not allow people to speak on the issue is not a debate. Our constitution forbid the rule of mob mentality and these people are doing more harm then good for their cause. (not that overt or covert racism has ever been a good cause)

What they have done is expose themselves for who they really are. We know how race conscience our society is and the minute one of these hate mongers call Obama a you know what they will quickly find any support they had from republicans will quickly disappear. They are being used as a pawn in this health care issue and even the republican party will draw a line in the sand. As quickly as Glen and Hannity supported these individuals, the minute they cross the line and expose themselves, that support will quickly disappear. There are just too many people in our society, that hate to be labeled a racist based on the actions of a small vocal hateful minority of the general population.

Think about it this way the minute the racist start spouting racism, it lends support for programs like Affirmative Action, because proponents will then say, "hey look at them, all the racist calling Obama a you know what etc. How can we trust them?" It keeps alive the stereotype that whites are racist and unable to change. This will affect other minority groups and they'll rally against whites etc. This will affect the majority of whites who are non-racist and they'll rally against this group of individuals. I think when it is all said and done, these people will destroy themselves, because most of us can see through this bs and are getting extremely pissed. A lot of good hearted people remained quite in the 1950's and 60's while these people went around and beat up folks because of the color of their skin under the guise of "the constitution and states rights". Mark my words History will not repeat itself!

The last thing i want to see is people getting sprayed with hoses or clubbed on the nightly news. We are a long way from the 1960's and i do not think as a society we will eve be going back in that direction. You may oppose the President and you may disagree with his policies, but if you think you're going to be able to bully, intimidate, and hide your racist ideologies, behind a cause i have been strongly supporting my whole life you have treaded on the wrong libertarian. We are a non-violent group, that believes in the rule of law and live by the belief of "letting others live their life." Please stop perverting our cause, i do not want to be labeled a racist, because of you people!

Please disagree with the President if you really disagree with his policies, but if you disagree with him because of what he looks like you will not be heard. Bring legitimate concerns to this health care debate. I'm sick of the mud slinging on both sides. Stop calling people nazi's every-time you disagree with their policies etc. If you have concerns voice them if you feel the executive branch is impeding on anything written in the constitution go to the ACLU and have them take your case, they'd be happy to be a service to you. If you have a legitimate case the Supreme Court will gladly rule in your favor.

the fact that you wouldn't even look at what obama himself has said speaks volumes.
you would rather blindly believe someone in the government when they say "trust me, i never said that"? in this age where almost everything someone says is recorded for all to see, it is becoming harder and harder to get away with lying. go ahead and watch the words come out of his own mouth. it won't kill you. (but it might open your eyes just a little)

OK did not as I post now read your entire reply to my post either. But what he said in 2007 with no power means nothing to me. He has the throne now and that is what counts.

Limbaugh talked about her today and said she was correct. I laughed as this woman is exactly what you say she is in your first sentence of your post!

A couple of things really stood out for me during this interview: first, this woman is 35 years old and she has no idea about her family finances (her husband handles everything). Now, I understand that people set up and run their households in many different ways, but, how do you get to be 35 years old and not ask basic questions like - how much money do you make, hon? Or, are we in good financial shape? Or, (to oneself) what would become of me if I had to take care of things myself?
As a woman of a certain age, with daughters in this woman's age group, I am appalled that there are still young women in this country who are this ignorant of every day things. But, that's a rant for another day.

Anyway, she spends her first 35 years ignorant of many basic things and, not just ignorant, but seemingly completely disinterested until...

She has this sudden epiphany that the Constitution in under attack and/or that our country has moved away from what the Founders intended?
A woman who assumed that based on watching the first Gulf War on TV with her dad meant that we were always just involved in some conflict so our going to war in Iraq was nothing to be concerned about??????

I dare anyone to tell me this woman wasn't a plant in that meeting.

Katy Abram is a Glenn Beck 912 Project organizer.

Meet and greet. Introduced ourselves and why we were there. 14 were in attendence.

There were many of us who used words like "afraid, worried, angry" regarding the state of our country. Many just want their country back and the government to stop interfering. Katy reiiterated that our cause is not to form a militia or to point the fingers at the right or left side of the aisle. There are problems across the entire system. We need to get back to the founding fathers principles.
Our purpose

The 9-12 project is designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001. The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the values and principles of the greatest nation ever created.

How does the fact that she is a 912 Project organizer prove she was a plant? I didn't know that Project 912 organizers are not allowed to attend town hall meetings as individuals.

It doesn't.

However, listening to Beck on a regular basis can clearly lead to brain damage.
You did notice she went to a town hall about heath reform but didn't say a thing about heath reform?

Her comments - wonder where she got her "sleeping giant" nonsense.
The movie Dune, maybe (the sleeper has awakened!).

More likely, she read an article by Jim Corsi ('author' of a collection of internet lies which anti-democrats bought up)
‘Obama has awakened a sleeping giant’ - RevolutionRadio.org (http://revolutionradio.org/2009/04/17/obama-has-awakened-a-sleeping-giant/ - broken link)
Corsi has been a guest on Beck's radio show and TV program.
Where do you think she was fed the socialism remarks?

I'm sorry, its really a pathetic display of being led on a leash by liars and entertainers.

My 18 year old son told me that was a reference to the USA's involvement during the WWII. I wasn't aware of that myself, but apparently he paid attention in history class.

Yea it was the famous line said after the Japanese bombed Peril Harbor. Prior to that no country in the 19th century had declared war on the US and attacked us on our own soil. We all know what we dropped on the Japense hehe don't tread on us!
