Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-Texas) is resigning from DLA Piper law firm amid
a wave of negative attention his grassroots organization, Freedom Works, has drawn for
helping to organize protesters at ]healthcare town hall meetings with members of Congress.

In an interview with POLITCO Armey said that he was concerned about the media scrutiny
the health care protests were drawing to the firm he has been associated with since retiring from Congress.

Seems this sort of lying garbage always comes from Texas, why is that?

I KNOW there are MILLIONS of wonderful people in Texas, but why is that our nation is constantly VICTIMIZED by Texans in Politics? The "Swift Boat" ads of the 2004 election were funded by T. Boone Pickens and other Texans. Tom DeLay sold our congress to the highest bidder with his "K Street Project" and both Bush/Cheney are Texans who got us into another bogus war like Lyndon Johnson ( a Texan ) got us into in VietNam. Why? Why? Why?

To use the words "honorable" and "Dick Armey" in the same sentence is laughable. I'm ecstatic that he's left and I say: Yippee, and chalk up a WIN for Rachel Maddow!!

It's a great step forward in that some of the people responsible for the death panel lies are now facing the death of their careers.

I think I understand it now; after the Death Panels the elderly will be shipped to FEMA Camps where they will be turned to Soylent Green by machines made from Clunkers.

I volunteered to be on the Death Panel that interviews the Senate

Mike FBE didn't make a "blanket statement," he listed several Texans, individually, including a Democrat. The moderators are here to keep the kiddies in line, but they are covered under the First Amendment as well, and
are allowed to voice their opinions. Someone was reported for allegedly being
rude to a state?? That's one toke over the line, Sweet Jesus!

BTW, Dick Armey's firm is the one who had either Limbaugh or Gingrich doing voice-over for ads urging people to come in and make a living will. But that was their truth then; now it's a short cut to euthanasia. Right.
