It's her fault that she posts statements based on lies, and when it's made clear to her that she posted something false, she chooses to standby the falsehood. It doesn't matter if she's read by one person or read by one million persons, an honorable person stands by truths, not falsehoods.

Voluntary consultations with personal physicians regarding end-of-life decisions would only equal Death Panels in the most paranoid person's fantasy world.
She didn't stand by the truth. She made a false claim about the proposals, and then didn't have the integrity to correct herself.

I disagree, she characterized the legislation accurately. They were not voluntary, they were mandated every 5 years beginning at age 60. Just like the lady with terminal cancer in Oregon last year, you can be certain government assisted suicide was this Marxist Regime's ultimate goal.

The Senate hasn't even been in session since she said it.
The Senate hasn't even seen any of the 4 proposed plans yet.
Those plans were proposed in Congress, not the Senate, and NO ONE has voted on them yet.
There was a proposal in one of the plans that would allow medicare to pay for a patient consulting their doctor about things like hospice, living wills, etc. Things we already consult our doctors about but which are not currently covered.
This is what Palin misunderstood as a "Death Panel." The Senate hasn't voted on ANYTHING yet let alone a pretend "death panel"

They were not mandated at all. They were OPTIONAL, which is the opposite of mandated. So Sarah's characterization was a FALSEHOOD. And she showed poor analytical skills in arriving at the conclusion. And when it was pointed out to her by numerous journalists, both conservative and liberal, she chose to defend the falsehood rather than to correct it. I'm not a Palin basher, I've defended her numerous times. But there is no defense for this. She showed zero integrity on this issue. Zero.
She resigned from office so she could speak out as just a citizen, show Americans who she really is free from political obligations and ties. If this is an example, then I'm not impressed.

They took it out because you all drama queens were throwing such a hissyfit in the town halls. But realistically, it wasnt a necessary provision. Your doctor can talk with you about it anyway during any appointment, it doesnt have to be all formalized and cost money.
